It began with the rise of Fascism in Germany, Japan, and Italy. Now, they are poised to take on the world. But which one? The Western Democracies? or the Soviet Union?

Hi, I'm Warhead, some of you might know me as that guy who ran the Holy Padic Empire in NukeNes One Last Try. It was a fun little game but I didn't stay too long. Now, I'm back/ I have recently been obsessed with alternate World War II stuff, so, I thought this would be a fun little game to host.

I'm not one of you super mods, so try not to eat me up on my first try. I wanted something rather easy I could try, and have fun. So, please help a new mod and play :)

I hope though that people will join, but I would like it if you

*Don't get mad at the mod; I will try to make this work, but please don't yell at me. Constructive criticism would be appreciated though :)

*Please don't spam

*Please send orders quickly

*Check the thread for diplo

and that's pretty much it. So Enjoy :)

Current Wars

The Axis (Germany, France) vs The Allies (Britain, Iraq, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, various one province minors)

Note; Alt Historical alliances and ideology changes are allowed

Rules:

1 land point costs $1
1 air point costs $2
1 sea point costs $2

The support costs for your forces will be deducted from your $ economy. It wont be such a great burden unless your forces get very big (100's of points).

Tech will follow the historical path unless accelerated by spending. Maximum is $15 per turn, which is a massive investment.

Economies can also be invested in, max $15 per turn. What you get is semi-random and will depend on stuff. But $15 would generally net a $5/turn increase. IE a return on your investment in roughly 3 turns. Which may not be such a great option.

Orders can be in PM or in the thread

------------------

A sentence describing your overall goals of the turn.
Spending on land/sea/air (if any) and brief mention of any vehicles/weapons you want to focus on
Spending on tech (if any) and brief description of what tech you are pushing for.
Spending on politics/espionage (if any) and brief description of goals
Spending on economy (if any)
Details of military actions / positioning (if any)
Note that you cant bank your $$$, so any left over will be randomly allocated to something.

I'll try it out as the USSR.

EDIT: Changed my mind, will try Britain.

I shall lead the USA to victory. If we ever join the war that is....

I claim Italy. Italy's in an interesting position.

Updated: With the USSR vacant, I hereby claim it.

I will take Japan if you don't mind :D

Wow, thanks for joining :)

We will wait for a few more players, and we can start :)

I changed my mind. I'll be USSR now that the position's freed up. :)

Well i'd like to be the USSR but i guess lightfang beat me to it :P so i'll take france, i'll try not to get wiped out in one week.

France declared war on Germany on September 3, 1939, two days after Hitler's invasion of Poland began. France officially capitulated on July 25, 1940. So if you get wiped out in a week, you really suck; even in real life, the French don't suck that much. ;)

Can we begin diplomacy, or would that be unfair?

go ahead and begin diplomacy; I 'm waiting for 2 more people and we can start sending orders :)

From Britain

If you try to take any more land in China, you will have to face the formidable British Navy.

From Britain

I'll be peaceful Germany, don't worry.

To: Britain
From: Germany

Despite our previous conflicts, we wish to have amicable relationship with both Britain and France.

OOC: dldnjstjr, can you respond to my edited post?

As for the alliance, Germany was not the only nation it was targeted at.

From Britain
To USA

We wish to check U.S government policy as to the Monroe Doctrine. Is the United States willing to reaffirm it's commitment to isolationism?

As per our recent discussions, a draft of the Treaty of Non-aggression Between Germany and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics has been prepared. Please, make any corrections you wish to make.

I hope for continued good relations between our two countries.

Treaty of Non-aggression Between Germany and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics

The Government of the German Reich and the Government of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, wishing to further the peace between Germany and the U.S.S.R., and proceeding from the fundamental provisions of the Neutrality Agreement concluded in April 1926 between Germany and the U.S.S.R., have reached the following agreement:

Article I

Both High Contracting Parties obligate themselves to desist from any act of violence, any aggressive action, and any attack on each other both individually and jointly with other powers.

Article II

Should one of the High Contracting Parties become the object of belligerent action by a third power, the other High Contracting Party shall in no manner lend its support to this third power.

Article III

The Governments of the two High Contracting Parties shall in the future maintain continual contact with one another for the purpose of consultation in order to exchange information on problems affecting their common interests.

Article IV

Neither of the two High Contracting Parties shall participate in any grouping of powers whatsoever that is directly or indirectly aimed against the other party.

Article V

Should disputes or conflicts arise between the High Contracting Parties over problems of one kind or another, both parties shall settle these disputes or conflicts exclusively through friendly exchange of opinion or, if necessary, through the establishment of arbitration commissions.

Article VI

The present treaty is concluded for a period of twenty years, with the proviso that, in so far as one of the High Contracting Parties does not denounce it one year prior to the expiration of this period, the validity of this treaty shall automatically be extended for another ten years.

Article VII

The present treaty shall be ratified within the shortest possible time. The ratifications shall be exchanged in Berlin. The agreement shall enter into force as soon as it is signed.

Done in duplicate, in the German and Russian languages.

Moscow, August 23, 1939.

For the Government of the German Reich: v. Ribbentrop
With full power of the Government of the U.S.S.R.: V. Molotov

To: Britain
From: Germany

We do not wish to threaten USSR, since we are so close to each other, by actively declaring our anti-communist motives. We will, however, will join the Allies if, at the moment, USSR poses aggression to Europe. However, Germany will be free of communism and will persecute any communists within German borders. Germany will be the first line of defense against the spread of communism in Europe.

To: USSR
From: Germany

We will sign and ratify the treaty.

To: Britain
From: France

We would like to accept, we hope that this new alliance will bring years of prosperity for all of Europe.

we also would like to know, does Britain have any terms for this alliance? Is it an economic or political or defensive alliance? It seems so far to be mostly political, to contain Communism, but what are the other terms of the alliance?

Brilliant move, to accept an alliance of which you don't know the terms.

I'm distressed at the British forming an Anti-Comintern Pact. Sounds like something that the Germans would do. Hmm...

To Mr. Chamberlain, Prime Minister of Great Britain
From Franklin D Roosevelt, President of the United States of America

The United States has no reason to affirm its isolationism. But if Great Britain desires to see what America's stance is... perhaps they plan to invade Mexico? In this case, America will remain in isolation.
