It is less matters of nationalism and more a matter of the balance of power. I don't think anybody would deny that the Germans have gotten militarily stronger through their annexation of Austria. Any one power too strong could dominate Europe, which is bad for every other nation.

That is why I oppose German annexation of Austria.

Who is mindlessly blackmailing Germans that we cannot be united under a single banner? People of Germany, and nations of Europe, we will bring peace. We will bring reconstruction. But so long as they can endure.

This is not a test of patience. But a test of recognition. Britain's paranoia has gotten out of hand, and they are flailing accusations against us. But nay, let them oppose. Let them deny us our rights, but we will fight to defend our freedom, our rights, and our liberty of what was God bestowed on Germany and its people. Lord said, "a house divided cannot stand", and what wisdom it is. Only the Devil would cause division, distrust, and bloodshed.

In order to achieve this goal, Germany must be cleansed. Cleansed of those who do not pack the proper gears to serve the beloved Reich. One people, one nation! We must drive out the foreigners living among us who incite these rebellious ideals. Communism! Democracy! Liberalism! What is communism but collective poverty? What is democracy but prolonged babbles of nonsensical debates over so trivial a matter? What is liberalism but a biased selfish justification? Germany will be made complete and made pure! The superior Aryan race will rule and living in Germany, and we will drive out the rest. Jews, gypsies, slavs, and of such kinds who are not a part of new great Aryan Reich. We will confiscate their properties in Germany and send them out. Whatever riches they have hoarded in Germany will stay in Germany.

I believe that for us all these international hopes can only teach us to stand firm together and to cling to our friends. The more that we in Germany form a single community, the less favorable will be the prospects of these inciters to war, and the closer we unite ourselves in particular with the State which is in a position similar to ours, the less desire they will have to pick a quarrel with us!

Germany has become greater by the most natural way, by a way which could not be more morally unassailable. So long as the others only talk of balance, while they infamously continue to incite to war, we must presume that they do but wish to steal from us our arms, in order once more to prepare for us the fate of 1919. And in that case, my only answer to Britain and likes must be: That happens once only and it will not be repeated!

If Germany is to carry it's foolish ambitions, it will no doubt invade Poland and Chekoslovakia, to try and build up it's power further. If any one power becomes a hegemon, as Germany will be if we do not fight it, what is to stop them making more claims?

What is to stop them from invoking the old Holy Roman Empire and trying to claim half of France? What is to stop them demanding their "fair share" of colonies and becoming so strong they can snatch whatever they wish to seize?

What is to stop them invading Switzerland, bastion of neutrality? What is to stop them forging claims to parts of the world based on groundless lies? What is to stop them calling all of Europe German based on the barbarian invasions and annexing it all at their whim?

Without a coalition against them, nothing in Europe will be able to stop them.
