Ideally he'd be right - but if believing in the tooth fairy carried the same power as belief in God, i.e., billions of people believed in it, belief in the tooth fairy was used as justification for passing laws, children were brainwashed into believing it, and people were stigmatised for not believing in the tooth fairy, you can damn well bet people would come up with a label to identify themselves as not believing in this nonsense.I watched a speech by an atheist recently. He made some good arguments about atheism. For one thing, there should be no word for atheism. There are no words for people who disbelieve astrology, people who disbelieve in karma, or disbelieve in the Tooth Fairy.
So, since there really should be no word for atheism, there clearly should be no symbol for them either.![]()
