[We the People] Bug reporting

This mod is incredible, and I am very grateful for all the work that has been put it into it.

I started getting save game crashes about 13 hours into my first (very enjoyable) We The People game. I have two save games attached, and both crash.

The save game titled "WTP_Nouvelle-France" crashes when I scroll to the western part of the map or when I end the turn.

The other attached save game is titled "Nouvelle-France" and crashes when loading the game. Do you have any ideas about this? I have posted this to Github here: https://github.com/We-the-People-civ4col-mod/Mod/issues/1062

Not sure if this is a known bug. Happened when a European opponent asked me to remove my privateers etc. to Port Royal (and I responded ok). Nothing else happened: my pirate ships all remained where they were.
 
Can you reproduce the issue reliably ?. We've seen that one before but never managed to reproduce it. Please post the save!
I may have spoken too fast and it seems my game is actually broken.

See attached and look at Port Royal. You'll get the error message. And you'll also notice one of my pirate ships sailing away, but hovering over it reveals no destination info. Also, my whole pirate fleet seems to have disappeared entirely from the game map even though they are still listed by my military advisor.

I've pushed a fix to the WTP develop branch. The ship was stuck in Port Royal because it lacked a valid "Europe" destination plot—a requirement both to prevent it from getting stuck and to allow its order to be changed—so it remained immobile indefinitely. 🤣
 
First off, this mod is stunning and deep! Thank you so much! Just one issue I've found: I have sugar, cocoa, and even vanilla in my town, but when I have the confectioner in the confectioner's house to produce chocolate, it says +6 -6 chocolate... Is this a bug or have I done something incorrectly? Screenshot attached :)

I think there is a misunderstanding about the Yields needed in this production chain of Chocolate.

What you have is:
Cocoa Pods / Fruits
(raw) + Sugar

But to produce Chocoloate you need:
Cocoa (dried) + Sugar

1) Step 1: Dry Cocoa Fruits to get Cocoa
2) Step 2: Combine Cocoa with Sugar to get Chocolate

You have missed on production step. :)
First dry the Cocoa Pods / Fruits to get Cocoa in the Storage House, then you can produce Chocolate. :thumbsup:

It is not a bug.
It is correctly complaining that you miss one of the Yields needed.

Thank you, you were right! Just that I needed to get a roaster's house and then get the cocoa from the cocoa pods. Thanks again! :D
 
Hmmm...just started playing at Governor difficulty for the first time on Huge world size. When I load ships/wagons with goods the "100-amount" max limit is gone! I just put 400! tobacco in one slot of a wagon/ship. Is that a bug-or a feature?:confused:
 
Did you by chance select Marathon or Builder as game speed setting?

The batch size is not related to difficulty, only to game speed.

Hi, first of all, amazing game ! Tx to all involved.

I tried to create the mod shortcut as explained in the readme : change the properties of the shortcut to steam://rungameid/16810/Mod="WeThePeople-4.1" (in my case using 4.1)
But it didn't work.

So after a bit of reading, especially here, and messing around, I found the solution.

The shortcut should instead be changed exactly, including white space, to URL :
steam://rungameid/16810 "mod=/WeThePeople-4.1"

The desktop shorcut then properly launch the mod on my Windows 10 PC with fresh Steam and game install.

So the readme should be corrected, but I don't know how to do it on GitHub. So tx in advance for doing the request for me !
