I am not sure if this is the mod or the civ game itself but here goes.
I use a rush strategy as the Fremen under Paul build a lot of zelots then hit all the other civs in order of strength taking out their capitols. I use this in civ as well. Playing at monarch now at the prince level I finished with a conquest about 540 score about 250,000.
The game keeps crashing, it is obvious that i will win the round as i have an army of zelots. but I saved the game every turn and as I got more and more powerful it started crashing more. Now it crashes as soon as i go to next turn. I have noticed that civ will do this as well. Any ideas? I can send the saved game to you if you want.
oops i posted this in the wrong place
Thank you

Please post a save, it is difficult to diagnose bugs without one.

Also, what version do you have installed? Which patches?

This maybe a new handicap AI feature: when AI cannot win because of their pre-defined strategy, they use CtD to take a higher ground. Obviously the stronger you are, the harder they try.

If you have any earlier autosaves, can you load one and then look in the Windows Task Manager to see how much memory is being used? When a late game crash happens and there are a large number of units, it may often happen that Windows runs out of memory. If the amount of memory is close to the full amount of memory of your system, this is probably the reason.

In this case, it may be possible to continue by setting a lower detail level. Around the forums somewhere, there is an additional list of suggestions of how to proceed when Civ runs out of memory.

Can you let us know what version of Dune wars you're using please?

From the file size, only 300k, I would think that out of memory issues seem unlikely. I've only ever had that in games with 700k++ save files.

I am not able to reproduce your problem. I loaded your later save game into 1.6.5. The military advisor says you have about 27 zealots, which is not such a large army as I feared. "Next turn" takes about 5 seconds to run on my machine (2 year old mid-class desktop machine, 2.5 GHz intel duo, 2 GB RAM). The memory usage is about 400 MB. I played your game very simply, without doing anything, I just kept building Mahdi Zealots whenever a city build dialog popped. I ran about 30 turns with no problems. Then I used "autoplay" (shift-ctrl-x) to play another 50 turns, and it continued with no problem.

How much memory does your machine have? Even though the game does not seem so large, perhaps that is as much as your machine can handle.
