I recently engaged in a war against an unstable civ to obtain its oil resources.

I built the hollywood and rock and roll wonders but they only succeeded in making my units gung-ho and irresponsible and created fear and resentment in the other civs rather than happiness.

I bombed the enemies of democracy, at least my version of it, ruthlessly but they only became more determined.

I couldn't spread my religion; I suspect that others saw it as insincere and threatening.

My gold is running low despite my pillaging.

Is this a bug or should I not have taken a Civ with the 'moronism' trait.

War weariness is a major problem in my nation, despite building massive numbers of jails.

Any advice from the civ community will be very welcome, especially those of you that support freedom and democracy and share my goal of crushing eviltude.

Yours GB

My (somewhat glib) response would be to turn the difficulty down for a while. Once you are consistently winning, play the next difficulty level.

Lather, rinse, and repeat.

Nukes are your only real solution here.

That is unless you can get control of the UN to extend your benelovant rule. Although word on the street is you think the UN is corrupted and you want the current Leadership removed due to some oil scandal. Becareful though, many of you 'allies' may be involved in this and will do their utmost to suppress it.

Expect no help from the Southern Hemisphere as it is Cricket season and they have removed them self from current world affairs.

screw religion, get free religion instead, put on police state, say good bye to war warriness, turn on state property, wait for gold to pile up, then hurry production of nukes.(switch to universal sufferage, see spiritual is really good trait)

going farcist and commune is the only way for your game, screw democracy

I even asked Lyndsay England to build the pyramid wonder, but it seems she misunderstood me. Meh

Why am I surrounded by such imbeciles?

And why doesn't the rest of the World love us? Well I'll keep bombing them until they start to love us.

Thankyou my fellow civers for your advice, I have decided to do away with democracy forthwith. From now on the system here will be exactly the same as always.
