What are your long range and short range career goals and objectives?
i just wanna know if u ever thought about this question, and what is ur answer about it.
come on,say something about ur goals~

Hmm...OK:

Short Range - Get into Honors/Advanced Classes in High School, get good grades, do good on my SAT (in 4 years :p)

Long Range - Get into a good college, find a major I really like, get a good job in a field I love

:)

Short range: Continue my career (my title is operator, i've yet to do any operations, tho.) and learn as much as I can about the company. The company I work for has been around since the 1860's. I"ve been working there since November.

Long range: Get some programming classes under my belt, and move from operations to programming. Or, get into management. Looking to go either way. . .

Short range: Learn a lot (more) and do a good job in the next project I'm involved in, get into the situation to partially determine my own professional near future by doing so, eg by being able to chose between the two corporations I like a lot at the moment next year.

Long range: Being experienced enough / having enough strong references to be able to chose jobs and locations fitting my personal or my future family's desires whenever I want to / need to.

My job is not my life but it certainly pays my bills and I find it interesting, so I have a certain desire to be good at it. It's a necessary part of my life and in the long run I just want to be good enough at it to chose my employers (as well as the location and the salary) in order to fuel my life according to my needs.

Short term : Minimize my expenditure in the remainder of my time in California (as I don't have alot of income coming in right now.

Mid term : When back in NY restart my vending business, learning from my past mistakes and set the goal to pull in at least $100 a day after expenses.

Long term : Become one of the top game designers in the world. Comparisons to Sid Meier run rampant! ;)

Hi,

You're wonderful. It help me to think about for my project.

This link below can show more info, you can find them at: Career goals
Good luck and I'll return back.

Short Term: Get to play lacrosse in college
Long Term: Become a senator or be involved with the federal government somehow.

Long range: Get some programming classes under my belt, and move from operations to programming. Or, get into management. Looking to go either way. . .

Without a lot more specifics, it's extremely probable the first is never going to happen. At almost no companies would someone get a chance to up and become a programmer mid-career. Management of course could be feasible.
