What do Avatars mean to you?

Do people feel their avatar represents their personality, or goals, or is it just an asthetically appealing graphic with no value other than to excersise your right to use the allocated space?
Mary Tyler Moore's seventh husband is wearing my Dacron tank top in a cheap hotel in Honolulu:eek:

what is your last avatar Dumb Pothead? It makes me think about a french heroic-fantasy comics.

Well, Zippy does love French fries.

@Hawai: thats Zippy's cousin Pierre. He started going down hill when they cancelled Fantasy Island. Now look at him!

I feel mine does, to a small effect.

It doesn't demonstrate the fact that I am fairly asocial, so really, it is not too accurate.

It's mostly just a nice graphic. It could however be taken as an indication in my interest in physics and astronomy.

:) I love the Zippy comics. Did you stumble on it after I proved you are Fat Freddy (and his cat)? ;)

Oh no. My former roomate was big Zippy fan and he had all the Zippy books. I read them all and became an instant fan. Unfortunately when we uh, 'split up' all the Zippy books went with him. I havent gotten around yet to buying any myself and rely on the Zippy webpage. Now that I think of it, Zippy probably played a role in me picking this name. There was strip once where Griffy mentioned that people dismiss his comics as appealing only to 'dumb potheads';)
