My dragonfly was way too big, but I just shrank it in the Paint program.

To me, the custom avatar option is a sorely tempting opportunity to make one of my cruel-and-the-usual puns. But this one (the dragonfly) is an expression of my personality. I just don't know how long I can resist the temptation. For now, I'll compromise by matching the pun to the avatar.

The avatar is somewhat unclear however it is supposed to be a picture of an old video game from the Nintendo Entertainment System known as Godzilla 2. I continually try to get a better avatar with each change. The problem is that many do not turn out clear enough once shruken to proper size.

Avatars may represent certain aspects of the poster's preferences and and thought patterns.

Well, I guess I can go as a black hole for a while. I rather like these things, and my family sometimes refers to me as one because of my tendency to answer factual questions not addressed to me.

"Growing by accretion" is of course what black holes do. It could also be taken as a reference to the fact that I don't seem to put any weight on regardless of how much I eat or how little I exercise.

I would have to agree with previous statements about recognizing the poster based on their Avatar. I recognize HE by his white and rainbow signs dealie, as well as Perfection's green, red and blue series, with that smiling Sun in the corner (Why must it smile, why?), Hitro with his red Crest dealie, Padma for the Dog, Chieftess for the Settler, TF for the Ship, you get the idea. When people change their avatars frequently, it becomes hard to recognize them by their avatar. I do not plan to change mine for a LLLOOOONNNNGGG time . . .
