What do you think of the PETA?

I think their intention is good, the girls are cute. Female taste better than guys.
You are not supposed to eat the PETA girls, even if they are cute... Especially if they are cute! :D

ELF funding
. I'll find an ALF one later.

here's a direct link to the Consumer Freedom report: http://www.consumerfreedom.com/news_detail.cfm/headline/1471

click links for information on "Peta's own words" or "1,500 donation" oops. don't exist.

And as earlier pointed out you can't donate to a group that doesn't exist. ALF and ELF are just random groups of small people that carry out actions under one moniker, there is no central organization.

As a vegetarian I agree with PETAs cause, they do rub people the wrong way, but thats just because everyone wants to hear what a good person they are, and if someone attacks their way of life they attack back. But in the future I think their cause will pay off, eating meat and out treatment of animals is so engrained in our culture as humans we are unable to see the flaw in it. Just as slavery and the opression of minorites in our own human race was so engrained in culture we couldn't see the flaw in it either, generations down the road we will though.

Eating, as simple as this: Put MEAT on Fire.

I want to find out when PETA is holding a protest in a nearby town, then I will get a group of guys together and cook up some tasty beef, pork, chicken, venison, various fish, and buffalo. Yum!

There's no food group I love more than meat.

This is not meant to come off as being racist: but if I was Jewish, I would raise holy hell about their comparison of a chicken farm being like a concentration camp. I'm not Jewish and I still find it an outrageous, digusting, and horrible comparison.

this is based on the preconception that animals are a lower form of life than humans. just like the nazis were wrong in saying killing jews was justified because they were a lower form of life, so are you wrong in saying killing chickens is justified because they are a lower form of life.

The species we eat are a lower form of life in the sense that it is very easy for us to outsmart them, kill them, and eat them. We are higher in the foodchain.

Comparing chickens to Jews is ridiculous.

I think they are nutcases.

Why should we stop eating animals and using products made from animals just because we are intellegent and dont need to.

I like meat and i will never stop eating meat. Its just as natural for a human to eat meat as an animal to hunt and kill for its food.

And i find it funny that most of thier support for helping animals is only for the "cute and cuddly" or furry animals. And they say that animals can feel pain so we shouldnt use them for scientific research or food?

Its a lost cause. They are never i mean NEVER going to achieve thier goals on a worldwide scale.

I dont have a problem with vegetarians or vegans but when they try to impose thier beliefs on others it becomes my problem.

Just look at thier website and you can see how silly they are.

Oh great another 'lets bash the animal lovers' thread:rolleyes:

I don't like humans killing animals. DEAL WITH IT.

PETA is the perfect example of a good cause done wrong.

it was pretty easy for the nazi's to outsmart & kill the jews, that makes nothing more just. might doesn't make right.

Uh...the holocaust had nothing to do with the Nazi's outsmarting the Jews, but about power and the focus of national resentment from WWI. It wasnt a matter of intelligence.....

how did they outsmart the jews

its not like they had food in a bag or money for them

give me one example

I respect their cause, beliefs, and intentions. But the way they go about carrying out their goals makes me lose symphaty for them. They should focus more on trying to get animals more humane treatment first then go on to try to stop killing them, and eating and such. Their ads and campagins are atrocious. Thats not the type of things they need. They should raise posotive awarness but they seem to only raise negative awareness that hurts their cause.

either way, if a man shoots a deer, he didn't outsmart it. yet it still 'puts us above the animal'.

if a man shoots a jew, as the nazi did, it in no way puts them above the jew.

I agree with you completly. How do you decide what a "lower species" is? Intellect? Does that mean the mentally challenged people are lower and can thus be killed? Size? Does that mean children can be killed?

Just because you have power over somehting does not give you the right to treat it horribly. Animals may not be human but they are living creatures that do feel pain and can suffer. What gives us the right to torture them or eat them? Tradition? Not all traditions are good, in parts of India sati is a tradition does that mean that is good? It is time for humans to wake up and realize that it is wrong to treat animals inhumane ways.

Spoken like a man that has never been deer hunting. Of course a man "outsmarts" an animal if he hunts one successfully. Why do you think a duck hunter uses a duck call and decoys? Why to outsmart the ducks of course.

Well, I agree it doesnt put them above them......but neither did the nazis "outsmart" the jews like hunters do animals.

They have absolutely no impact on my life whatsoever, beyond laughing my ass off at that video Xanick posted and the 10 seconds it took to write this.
