What does CFC recognize you for?

Zack: You and azale are still, for some reason, merged in my mind.
Same for me.

I guess because we're both liberals from Texas?
Maybe, but it seems like.... something else. (Something in your previous avatars? I don't know, but you two are still stuck together in my mind.)

Combined, though even if it were each that still wouldn't be "Rich" by US standards.

Not sure if mom was working at that time though.

Why do you worship Mammon then, who wants people like your family to be bummed in the gob?

50 K a year is the median income of Americans I think. So yeah not rich but not really poor either.

I don't worship Mammon. I believe in the free market.

I never said it was poor, just not rich. 25K for 5 people is probably pretty close to the poverty line though.

The free market has bummed you in the gob though.

$25K is peanuts. And you want the rich to force your family to pay more taxes? Unbelievable.

Well, not really. I support less taxation in general. I just think its immoral to force the more wealthy to pay a higher rate simply because they were more clever in the way they made their money.

You still don't know that most money made by rich people comes from being lucky and/or charismatic?

Rich???

My parents only made like 25,000 last year:p

Probably has more to do with being homeschooled, but yeah that's how you come off.

And 25k for a family of 5 on Long Island? Do they collect any government benefits?

I don't think we take anything special. TBH, other than hearing them TALK about it I never really felt all that poor. I mean, we were concerned about spending money and we didn't go out to eat very often, and when we did it was usually to the local, fairly cheap bagel store. But we were never want for food or anything.

Of course, we also experienced what most CFCers would call "Luck" so there ya go.
