Your point was that you get up in a twist when the viewpoints you side with are challenged and rather than engaging in discussion you cry about the challenges and play victim pretending that you are being attacked. Because you can't take criticism of your guy Trump for his actual words and actions. Because your bigotry against trans people is not tolerated by everyone. Because you want your kind of speech protected while knocking that of others. But at least you are not trying to mask behind civility and decency and are happy to let everyone see you for who you are.

I'm not sure what's given you the impression that I'm "riled up," but you have made it clear in an antagonistic sort of way that we have a difference of opinion on this subject.

Plenty of things have been mislabeled "hate" speech. Trump and the republicans spread "hate" for simply existing. Disagreeing that pre-pubescent children being put on hormones and given sex changes is hate. Misgendering someone is hate. Believing that biological men shouldn't be allowed in the women's washroom or in women's sports is hate. Wanting to secure the border or reduce immigration is hate. Mentioning black crime statistics is hate, etc. etc. Most things that aren't part of the mainstream democratic platform has been labeled hate by someone at some point and the standard response to any of this is the "no true Scotsman" or just a straight up denial.

You haven't actually been stopped from saying any of these things have you, but free speech works both ways. If you come on a forum and express your views you can't really complain if people tell you what they think of those views.

I haven't complained. I stated my opinion, was asked a question and I responded to it. Then I was attacked and now I'm commenting on it only because you brought it up.

I do think its unnecessary to attack someone for stating a opinion on a discussion form? Yeah, simply for the fact that it defeats the purpose of even bothering to enter the "discussion." At that point it's just reeee'ing.
