Ok, why does the word "suck" have a negative connotation? You'd think it would be a good thing.

Okay, did a bit of google searching. Looks like no one really knows why suck sucks, but it appears to have certain sexual overtones. Of course, when I read your statement, my first thought was...well, unprintable here. But anyways, I'd do a google search on etymology sucks and see what you get.

Now do you really want to be a bee and do all the sucking?

Anyways, 'suck' to me means universally bad. The other, um, definitions, have at least one part being good. Depends on your point of view, really. Rarely do I think that someone has gotten something good out of my using 'This sucks!'. Although I'm sure there's been plenty of times where it's been exactly that, I just was caught up in my own misery.

Yeah, if 'sucks' is bad, why does 'blows' also have a negative connotation? They're opposites, right?

In mexico it's a sign of endearment to bite some one and suck has mom right in the word mama, mamar (yes my spanish spelling) sucks - oh did you see that it wasn't even on purposeNarz said:
