Kramer and Elaine had their own shows, where they were the stars and failed. Goerge Costanza's show also failed.
Interestingly Newman stayed on TV! Who would have thought that?

personally, i think that the characters of jerry, and Kramer just played and fed off of each other so well that they need each other to be a viable product, though I neve ronce got around to watching kramers show :undecide: I did see the person who was Eklaines show once, and it suck. big ones.

as for Newman- you have to admit, hes a good actor, and the fact that he has at least onbe movie roll under his belt cant hurt his resumee much, can it

Danny DeVito was indeed the boss (dispatcher, specifically, I recall) of Taxi's Sunshine Cab company.

actually, when I was younger I would wwatch taxi all the time, because after cartoon shows were over on the channel Nickolodeon, they would show that stuff, and often i would stay on to watch- and to be honest, it wasnt until you said smthign that I remembered that he was ont here at all- in fact, now that I think about it, even though I'm sure there were a few other guys, all Zi remember are Alex, Latke by name, and who was it that sarred as the boss (I keep think dannydeveto for some reson, but i havent the faintest dlue if i'm right or not) and that one lady, who I have bno clue as to if the actress, or character name of...

How can there be a Tony Danza thread without any mention of Taxi? Probably half the people here werent even born yet when it was on the air... I remember for the longest time hating that I was usually the youngest person in the room, lately more and more Im the oldest and thats no picnic either

Zamphyr did post something, albeit subtly. Perhaps old age and bongloads are fogging things up a bit, eh DP? ;)

I hear you though, I was watching Taxi when it was on primetime.

As for Tony here's probably WAY too much info. Click on "what's new" and you'll find he's currently touring lounges across the U.S. with Don Rickles! Talk about a career on the skids...

Edit: and the actress who played Elaine is named Marilou Henner, who also had a long running role on Evening Shade with Burt Reynolds.

And those of us who ARE old enough can hide the fact and pretend we only saw re-runs.

I forgot Tony D started on Taxi - totally overshadowed by Danny DeVito, Judd Hirsch, and Andy Kaufman, who made the show worth remembering.

Come to think of it, the success of Taxi is probably the only reason TD kept getting work for years after...
