Love is the reflection of God's unity in the world. It constitutes the entire significance of creation. It is love that gives meaning and value to all the happenings in the world.

Ambrose Bierce said:LOVE, n. A temporary insanity curable by marriage or by removal of the patient from the influences under which he incurred the disorder. This disease, like caries and many other ailments, is prevalent only among civilized races living under artificial conditions; barbarous nations breathing pure air and eating simple food enjoy immunity from its ravages. It is sometimes fatal, but more frequently to the physician than to the patient.
I made that avatar 100% myself using Paint Shop Pro 7. It's not supposed to be an exact copy, obviously.Birdjaguar said:True love is copying HBs flag avatar and making it your own.![]()

I am not so sure about that. Not so long ago love was irrelevant in most peoples lives. Marriages were based on real things like convenience, money, status or whatever. It is a fairly new idea that marriages should be based on an illusion (love). In fact it is virtually nothing that indicates that ordinary people believed in love before the industrial revolution. Before that love only appears in artworks sponsored by the ruling elite. Isn't that a little suspicious?Babbler said:@Pikachu: I agree with you on the non-existance of romatic love, but you make out as a product of the military-industrial complex. But it is even worst than that -- they too believe in such fairy tales, just like our forefather, and their forefathers before them, and their forefathers before them, etc. People who believed in love tend to fight harder, and are able to procreate more often, thus allowing to spread there genes far and wide.
