What is the best internet browser?

By clicking a certain button on your mouse, and by moving the mouse a certain way, it preforms actions in the browser without going up to the button bar to do it. For instance, in Firefox, holding the RMB and dragging the mouse to the left is the same as hitting the back key.

It's a shortcut, basically. I'm not to keen on them, because I haven't taken the time to sue it. Right now it's a "Damn, that's cool" type thing for me. Since I perfer to have my hands on the keyboard, and I've got a bunch of internet keys on my keyboard, I tend to use those more than take my hand off the keyboard to grab the mouse.

Although these are not call Mouse gestures, my favorite way to move back is to first click the right button and then quickly click the left button, and the reverse to move forward. I think you have to install an extension in Firefox, but it works there too.

For more mouse gestures, check the help in Opera.:)

Another (IMO very useful) tip: Click a link with the middle button and it will open in a background tab.

Anything but Internet Exploder.

Mozilla is what I use, too lazy to get Firefox or whatever that is. Opera is good too, I hear . . .

firefox

never used mouse gestures either. wouldn't alt-left be quicker to go back? *shrugs*

Opera is my fav - as to the ads in the free version - they aren't that bothersome. I don't even notice them.

I will have to try out the mouse gestures - I always turn it of as I would do them by accident all the time and Opera would ask me if I wanted to use them.

I also like how you can open a new tab in Opera by double clicking the tab bar. I also like how you can close a tab by middle clicking on it. Now I just need to find a way to do the quick downloads with a gesture and I will be very happy.

Opera.

Firefox gave me a lot of grief because I had to download SO MANY DAMN EXTENTIONS to get the same kind of function as Opera does right-out-of-the-box. I had to download an extention for tabbed browsing, reload every, work offline, etc.

I use Mozilla Firefox.

All I can say is you really need to get out of IE. As far as I can tell, IE is the only well-known web browser that does not have a popup blocking feature. Mozilla would probably be a good one for you to choose, and it does have popup blocking (which is always good).

Since you say Firefox, I assume you mean the latest version of it, because the others were called Firebird. I have installed only one extension, called 'Mouse Gestures', and I have all of the features you described above, so I wonder why you didn't get them?

@bobgote, good conclusion.;)

What about Tab Extension? It doesn't come by default and I love it ;)

I have just made a switch to Mozilla recently, apart from very slight slow down (hardly noticeable), I am very happy with it.

No more annoying pop-ups, and the great thing is Mozilla has made the migration process painless.

Just Mozilla, or Firefox? I just have the regular old Mozilla, I am too lazy to convert to Firefox just yet . . .
