I just finished up a game the other day and I was amazed at the number of leaders I received. I had 13 of them that I can remember. There were so many that most (8) of them went to building Armies. The rest went to standard wonders that were avaliable. Has anyone else had such good fortune? I typically only receive about 3 in most games. This game was a bit unusual as there I was involved in a war for almost the entire game.

Hmm it may have been more useful if you had created a poll as well...Its not too hard to gain leaders if you have plenty of wars. In my latest game I have had 7 separate wars and gained a Great leader from each war.

I have had 11 GLs so far in one of my games. I'm still warring, and there's quite a bit too go.

around 7 or 8, with 5 of those coming during one set of battles with my SoD

What happens when a civ runs out of names to call a GL? The game I'm playing now, I have had 6 leaders wit the Americans.

The number of leaders you get is almost completely proportional to the amount of warring you have done in the game. Try reading one of the "always war" succession game threads; by my estimate, the Zealous Zulus game has had well over 50 leaders, and so far has played only up to 1700AD.

It will use the names over again. I am the Japanese and I got at least 4 Leaders named Tojo.

I've gotten one so far about 200 years ago. He went to rush Theory of Evolution. I'd just been beaten on a couple of wonders and couldn't pass up the two civilization advances.

I've been at peace most of the game. One big war against the Persians and that's it. I got a bunch of settlers crossing through my territory and plunked down in resource areas I hadn't gotten to. But I figured that going to war over them wasn't worth it, and I was right. They joined my nation peacefully.

I'm expecting a war soon with the Greeks. I'm now having a war with pollution.
