Because Bruce Springsteen will be our next VP, I think CFC needs a thread dedicated to his greatness and a questioning of his best song (of many, many great songs).

The nominees I selected with a very complex mathematical formulas:
Thunder Road
Born to Run
Jungleland
Murder Incorportated
Badlands
The River
Born In The U.S.A.
Better Days
Glory Days
Independence Day
Atlantic City
American Land
Radio Nowhere
The Rising
Rosalita
4th of July, Asbury Park
Hungry Heart
Dancing In The Dark
Streets of Philadelphia
Pink Cadillac
Girls In Their Summer Clothes
Tunnel of Love
Backstreets
Brilliant Disguise
Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out

EDIT: The hell is going on with my poll, it ain't showing up. Mods, could you please add a poll with options above.

Until then, post manually.

Other--Because the Night is my favorite. Of your choices Rosalita.

One must be some sort of a northern-redneck to like springsteen. My mother double-dated with him in HS (her gf was dating him) and she says he was greasy, short and smelly.

My humble opinion:

Spoiler :
All of his songs suck equally.

This can only hurt Obama politically.

No, seriously...

Thunder Road

Most badass lyric in rock 'n roll right here:

License registration
I ain't got none
But I got a clear conscience
'bout the things that I done

But off that list I'll say 10th Avenue Freeze-Out

I like the one that goes:

born.. in the U.S.A.
born.. in the U.S.A.
born.. in the U.S.A.

...

born.. in the U.S.A.
born.. in the U.S.A.
born.. in the U.S.A.

born.. in the U.S.A.
born.. in the U.S.A.

born.. in the U.S.A.

I voted other, my favorite is Brilliant Disguise

From the list I like Backstreets, Born to Run, and Jungleland the most

Not on the list, I like No Surrender and Candy's Room

it's a threeway tie between Born to run, Thunder Road and The River.

I'll pick the latter just because.

Its really hard for me to choose, since I love almost every song on that list.

My absolute favorite though is 10th ave. Freeze out...in particular, the live cut from the Hammersmith (youtube it sometimes, they're all wearing pimp suits!!)

With tramps like us! BABY, WE WERE BORN TO RUN!

Youngstown, but Ghost of Tom Joad is a close second. But you left them both off the poll, so... "Other"...
(Admittedly, Ghost of Tom Joad is the only one of his albums I own or have any intention of owning, and I only bought it for those two songs, so maybe they aren't quite popular enough to warrant a place on the list, I don't know... I tend to stick to things with words like "death", "viking" or "carnage" in the title. ;))
