Mine would be apple pie. But I do have savoury pies more often because i don't have desert that often.

Chicken, mushroom and bacon pie, for me, please.

Thanks.

Looks like someone couldn't wait to start eating this one. The greedy pig!

Cheesecake is my number one favorite but I also won't turn my fork away from just about any pie you put in front of me. In terms of sweet pies anyway, the only kind I can think of off the top of my head that I don't like is pumpkin.

I dunno, why do we park on driveways and drive on parkways? People name things stupidly sometimes.

Pumpkin. There is no other legitimate answer to this question. Anyone giving any answer other than pumpkin is on the payroll of whatever industry they are saying is best, be it pecan, apple, you name it.

And no, I am not on the payroll of the Great Pumpkin Appreciation Society or any other pumpkin related endeavor.

How is pumpkin better than steak and cheese? Even without bacon, steak and cheese clearly win.

Apologies, I was in dessert type pie mode. I view those types of pies as main course things. They really shouldn't be put against dessert pies.

I agree, but the OP wants us to include all pies. Even it seems things like cheesecake, which are deceptively labelled as cake, which in fact they are not.

You have discovered a big flaw in the methodology of this study though. No way this is getting published now.

I've never been a big fan of pumpkin pie, mostly because I was introduced to it in my 20s. I was never a huge fan of fruit and/or veggies inside of baked things, so I was basically always sort of against the very concept. But anyway, I've tried to have an open mind and have really warmed up to Mexican style apple pies with ice cream, caramel, and .. well, something on that pie was deep fried, but I'm not quite sure what. And pumpkin pie now to me tastes okay, so I'll eat a bit during Thanksgiving if my mom makes some.

What sort of toppings do you recommend on a slice of pumpkin pie? Maybe next time I'll try to do it right. Bacon should go well on everything though.

Pumpkin pie is alright, it's just kinda... bland.

There is almost no wrong answer when it comes to pies (Pumpkin, Blueberry, Lychee, etc.)

... Although if you are eating in the British isles there may only be wrong answers when it comes to pies

Honestly, I prefer them nekked. Some folks like to throw whipped cream and such on them, but I think it takes away from the pie.

I make a cranberry dipping sauce for turkey made from cranberries, orange juice, and ginger ale... the family members I eat Thanksgiving turkey with say it's great on pumpkin pie. Not being a fan of pumpkin pie, however, I cannot directly vouch for it (it rules on turkey though).
