What new wonders would you like to see in civ VII?

I am all for Indians to be in the game...how best to represent them and I am biased in the fact that I would want their UA UU etc to be major bonuses and strengths for that Civ in the game...perhaps can't build the U Boat or Film Studio or Electric Factory but what they can do is just as critical for a victory.
If what I'm understanding is that you want the group to have different bonuses from the rest of the world? It's really hard to do that as @Zaarin said they are a wide group of people, in which you can't lump together certain bonuses such as horses and tipis as not every tribe practiced those things. You'd have pick a singular tribe to figure out a good design and I think the Cree are just fine in that regard.

That being said if you want to play the environmentalist "noble savage" you have the Maori. :mischief:

As far as I'm aware it's generally agreed that the Maya did overtax their environment; what's up for debate is whether that was the only or primary factor that led to the collapse of their society, with modern scholarship generally favoring that it was one among a number of factors.

That's up for debate. Plenty of scholars think otherwise.

The Maya have been accused of overpopulating and mismanaging the environment and natural resources. These reasons top the list of causes of the collapse, yet they likely relate more to our contemporary inability to understand how the Maya domesticated the tropics than what might have happened in the ancient past.

The continued existence of the Maya Forest Gardens indicates that the Maya’s agricultural practices continued into the colonial period and persist today as witness to their resilience. The Maya practices were not, as often assumed, detrimental to the environment and civilization. These ancient traditions are an example in sustainable farming and lay a foundation for our modern concerns to work with nature as exposed with permaculture. The Maya adaptation to the tropical forest began more than 4,000 years ago and was the foundation of the civilization that flourished for at least 1,000 years.

Though the researchers do not have a clear answer about why ancient Maya society unraveled, they suspect social and economic upheaval played a role.

"One thing we do know is the overly simplistic explanation of drought leading to agricultural collapse is probably not true," Fedick said.

Methinks that some people are pushing this idea of environmental collapse to further their global warming/climate change positions.

I think the House of Wonders would be a good candidate for a more recent African wonder; sadly it appears to have suffered some severe damage a little over a year ago.

If dams are included in the next game or one of it's expansions, then the Great Dam of Marib would also be an interesting choice, especially since we didn't get a Dam wonder like we did in 3 (Hoover Dam) or 4 (Three Gorgest Dam).

Aït Benhaddou, the Buddhas of Bamiyan, and the Porcelain Tower would also be great new additions in my book - and I wouldn't be mad if they brought back Shwedagon Paya and/or Borobudur.

For Natural Wonders, someone once recommended the Lençóis Maranhenses and I've always thought it would be fantastic visually.

The Porcelain Tower was in Civ 5 I believe.

Also I agree about having a Dam wonder. Really more surprising we didn't get a dam wonder considering we also got a Dam district.

A wonder I'd like to see in the game, is Firaxis going back to basics of what made the series great, and dropping all the crap introduced in Civ 5 and 6.

I'm pretty sure there are plenty of other threads where your whining would be at least remotely on topic.

It's not whining, it's a wish. But I expected such responses to be honest. It's part for the course in here. So I'll leave you guys to it. Other voices are not welcome.

You barged into a thread about suggesting new world wonders to complain about the gameplay mechanics, and suggesting other threads would be better suited to that is "shutting down other voices"? There are plenty of critics of the game here, but hijacking threads to complain about other things is just toxic behavior.

I wonder what Swedish building/landmark would actually work to be implemented as a wonder. I have a few suggestions

-Uppsala Cathedral - Looks pretty nice, it got history and is apparently the tallest church in Scandinavia.
-Stockholm City Hall - Appealing, a big tourist attraction and its importance with the Nobel Price banquet.
-Ericsson Globe (maybe?) - Entertainment stuff but now it's called Avicii Arena and to see that name in Civ 7 Wonders menu full of great historic wonders would be too.. cringe.
-Öresundsbron (The bridge that connects Sweden and Denmark), could be a 3-4 tile bridge?
