What should I do as an adult?

Did you know that The Amazing Race Canada is recruiting now for their next season?

I have! I'm not gay though, am not married, nor do I have a fiance or girlfriend, or a chummy best friend who's in shape. So I don't think they'd take me. I guess I have a sister, but she's pregnant. The other one's busy. The Amazing race would be sweet to be on, but it seems that they only seek out good looking people with certain TV favourable qualities.

I also really suck at pop culture type challenges.. Those come up from time to time. It'd be fun though, I agree! It seems like you really have to be very good looking and have that perfect partner who is also good looking, though.

Or alternatively you shouldnt travel at all in spite of strong desire to do so and make sure your stay at home is very uncomfortable. Thats the ticket to perfect adulthood guaranteed....:king:
 that sometimes works. Backfires often. I've spent a cumulative year in the past three sleeping on couches and mats on floors. I think beds are best.

I know exactly what you mean. I've done both.

My interpretation of Hygro's comments is that you have to deliberately put yourself into material discomfort to get something out of it. I want to see what he means by it all exactly. At the moment it seems to be like "yeah i slept on a hard wooden floor in a dirty hostel, what a guy i am! lol".
Good heavens why?

Why would I mean anything other than saying the best way to travel is to go outside your comfort zone and do scary things and expose yourself to situations that you have little frame of reference with little secure fallback?

Self confidence comes from doing scary things and being brave anyway. Traveling alone and discarding your motivation to be comfortable allows you the best experience.

Perhaps he just means you should get out of your "comfort zone"? Off the sun lounger on the beach, and into the hills. Or something.
Exactly. And maybe talking to some girls on the beach or joining a volleyball game before your hike.

I just went out for a tuna sandwich and a York Pattie.

FREEDOM!
