Hmm, apart from greed and possibly pride, I've done all of those. My oh my.
Since you put the mouth of where the money is,can you tell us what are really sins?silver 2039 said:I really disagree with these as sins.

Why is there so much evil in this world? Everyone has done something evil and thus it qualifies as such.CurtSibling said:Depends what fan-fiction you are into.
But from your eyes, I guess everyone plays your game.
But in the real world...

If you read the Bible you will see that money is never mentioned as being part of God's offer for forgiveness. It is always is a gift and cannot be bought. You must be confusing my beliefs with one of a Catholics.CurtSibling said:Evil is only a word.
All your religion wants to do is level the playing field and tell everyone they have been very naughty.
And of course, only your god can offer forgiveness...For a monetary price...!
Come on, you know I am not so gullible.

The Bible is clear that the love of money is the root of all evil, so those churches that desire money are obviously evil then. At the Church that I go to, the only tie we give money is part of our offering for the basic running of the Church and also for Missions. the Bible says nothing wrong about giving money to your church for the work of God, but it does say that any attempts to by god's gift by money are false. You do know that running a church does cost money and that most pastors are not well paid and that they Bible says that we should really pay them twice what we do right now, meaning that the work of a pastor is priceless in the Bible. There is a proper use for money in a church, but it has nothing to do with God's gift. By definition a gift is something that you do not pay for, so why would God want payment for a gift?CurtSibling said:I don't pick flavours. All churches want cash. It is part of human nature.
The demand for finances was of course added as a fringe benefit...

And that's what we call a prejudice. Not that I think you'll be suprised to hear me say it. Have you seen the financial situation of the Church of England at the moment? It's not pretty.CurtSibling said:All churches want cash.
