The NYPD says they found this here thing. It has a very WW2 sort of feel to it, but there are some many models of guns made just to look "cool." Anyone know what this is?

Yeah, you found it. It appears that the Dux I posted earlier is actually based on the gun shown, not the one itself.

This looks like someone left the designing to a modder.

It was designed within a very short time to be a simple machine stamped and low manhour, mass production, stop gap gun by the Russians in Leningrad. Despite its cheap and rough appearance it was an amazing design given how desperate the situation was.
