There's no point to noscript, the time it takes to add sites to the whitelist is far more than the time it saves for any reason. (Virtually none.)

I have a WoW account to protect. I highly disagree.

Yeah, not seeing your point. Noscript is awesome.
Better than awesome. Especially helpful for low bandwidth limit internet connections.

How is noscript related to protecting a WoW account?

Opera Turbo with flash disabled is far more useful than Firefox with noscript for low bandwidth connections.

Keyloggers and the like. Visit a phishing site, go log into WoW's forums or account maintenance, few days latter, log in to find your account stripped.

edit: though with an authenticator, like I have on my phone, I could more or less post my login / password publicly and you'd not be able to get in to the account. 10^8 chance anyway.

I voted other because I'd say I use Firefox 4 and Internet Explorer 9 equally and don't want to give either a vote over the other. Far cry from my old loyal Netscape Navigator > Netscape Navigator Suite > Mozilla Suite days when I loathed firing up IE.

Also, why the hate on Lynx by not including it in the poll?

P.S. - Netscape was the company. Navigator was the browser the company made. Messenger was the email client, Collabra and Composer rounding out the suite.

I always used Netscape up until the point were AOL bought them. And then switched to FF.

I've never, ever heard of this 'flock' thing. What is it?

So don't visit phishing sites or install keyloggers?

Most of the set of "people who are going to fall victim to phishing sites" doesn't overlap with the set of "people smart enough to figure out how to install Firefox extensions".

It's discontinued, don't worry about it.

Your advice consists of, "don't get tricked" ? Anecdotal evidence and all, but numerous friends of mine, who were more than capable of avoid scams, clicked on a link to warcraftsmovies instead of warcraftmovies and lost their accounts.

Obviously not.

And wait, what does noscript have to do with phishing sites anyway?

Well, unless you're the type to go through a URL letter-by-letter, anyone can click wrong when a URL is a letter different.

As to noscript, the concern was keyloggers, not phishing in the traditional sense (tell us your password!).

What do keyloggers have to do with noscript?

(Hint: Nothing that I can think of.)

In short, the only thing noscript protects you against are 0-day exploits that haven't been patched yet. Anecdotally, unless you frequent really sketchy sites, these aren't much of a worry.

I used to be a FF man but the browser stopped working for some reason so I switched to Opera and hated it. Then I saw the speed test videos on youtube, decided to give Chrome a try, and haven't looked back since.

Opera wins hands down. I have used all of the browsers here except for Netscape and Safari (except on a mac, of course), and Opera is the best because of Speed Dial, and more importantly, mouse gestures. By holding down the left button and moving to the left, I can go back a page - go to the right to go forward. There are more such gestures and it's very convenient and unlikely to cause accidents. If you haven't used Opera, try it!

I'm under the impression that keyloggers can be delivered via java / xss

Well, you should take that as a sign and quit WoW.

Tried using IE again after a long history with Firefox and Safari. It wasn't even half as bad as I expected and I now use IE the most since. I use Firefox and Safari as well, but I prefer IE because of familiarity.
