What's Thunderbrd up to anyhow?

Yes, source is included. There is some sort of xml error when loading. It has an error with playeroption.xml & gameoption.xml. Those files aren't changed though. I think it has to do with the new vassalinfo.xml file.

I know I haven't updated this much... trying harder to simply get some of these things done.

But I figured this was the appropriate place to let y'all know I may not be worth much this weekend. It's my birthday tomorrow (well... wait... as of 8 minutes ago TODAY :) ) and we've got some plans to go to a Vegas Strip show (Zumanity) and a Strip Buffet and who knows what else ;) Could be partying it up as it were. I may still get some things done later in the weekend but I don't suspect too much.

On the other hand, my work is slowing down a bit and isn't demanding quite so many hours now so I've been pouring that extra time into the Combat Class planning project. Kinda nice to take a brief break from coding (though a lot of intense coding is coming up still.)

Anyhow, this is pretty much just an FYI for y'all.

And first post is updated now.

Wow... I hadn't updated this in so long it was buried on pg 5!

I figured I should... so in a moment, the first page should have some updates.

[*]Clean up our overwhelmed help hover lists into multiple pages via hotkeys. Split into Basic (none), Primary (shift), Secondary (ctrl), and Tertiary (ctrl-shift) pages on nearly all hover lists. The most needing are Unit displays and plot displays but buildings could probably use some of the help too. Oh, and now too I'm wanting to widen the help field.

:):) I think Promotion Icons should be on there own line in the Unit Display.

For Flexible Difficuly can we get some extra Turn Increment options. 300, 400, 500, 750, 1000, 1500.

UPDATE:
It'll be a little bit before I can get to anything further. I'm currently updating all units with the Unit Combats as planned on my document (I'll flesh out the ones that still have yet to be mapped out when I get to those.) It's taking a LONG time and it shouldn't be updated to the SVN until it's done in its entirety and displays are tested (I think I may need to adjust where they are being shown on units so as to hide them from main view AND I'll need to widen the help hover!)

It's taken me the majority of the day to get about 1/12th the way through it and I'll be visiting family from Wed to Sun so will be away from the forums during that small turkey break.

It's pretty much the next project on my list. I was mentally exhausted last night so tackled a number of smaller tasks but I'd run into that goal on the list and that means I'm about to get right on it. It's buggin' me too! ;) It's just a big job and one that takes a lot of care and consideration.

So my wife and I had a VERY interesting Valentine's Day evening. Who said just because I mod 90% of my free time I don't have a life? lol...

I figured y'all might get a kick out of this (I know WE did!)

Can you guess where we visited and snapped these photos?

Area51?
Looks like place from one of X-Files episodes :)

It was Area 51 indeed. I was amazed we found it since we had not well researched the inroads from the highway. When we got there, we were indeed being watched by the guards already. There was a white truck situated up on a ridge about 50 yards off the road glaring down at us without their headlights on. I wondered if anyone was in the truck but that curiosity was confirmed when after we left we were 'escorted' down the road by distant headlights behind us until we reached the highway again. It was rather freaky and exciting at the same time - GREAT life experience! lol

We went first into Rachel to look for that Little A’Le’Inn but we got there so late at night (after midnight) that the whole town had rolled up the streets and sidewalks and put them away for the evening.

What is really amazing, when I think about it... so many people know the place exists and I'm sure it's an intensely curiosity inspiring location for most but of all the billions of people on the planet, we were the only ones that decided to make that our Valentine's Day destination for the evening. That was a long drive in on a long straight dirt road... no other traffic in or out (with the exception of our 'escort' out.)

Maybe next year we'll head out to one of Nevada's haunted ghost towns!
