I voted over 36 as I am 36 plus a few weeks.

Part of the disconnect that has been mentioned in this thread is probably due to the fact that intelligence and wisdom are two very different and separate things. Actually, when you are younger intelligence and wisdom can be diametrically opposed - a smart teenager generally hasn't yet run into the boundries of their ability and as a result they tend to think they have all the answers. Wisdom comes from failure and being wrong - it is the understanding that no matter how smart you may be you also have the ability to be very, very stupid and incompetent at times.

I'm 24, could pass on as 28-30, but act like a 16 year old.

@Turner_727 Year of the dog, according to Chinese Calendar?

I'm a 26 year-old boy. I'm still not used to being referred to as "Mr"

alot of people on this board seem very versed when it comes to politics and history, but when it comes to common sense that comes with age, it seems to be lacking.
Thats so true. I slowly realized that most (or at least many) of the people here are extremely intelligent, well educated, practically genius level kids/young adults from financially well off families. Their knowledge of science, history, literature and just about everything else at times seems almost limitless, but theyre sorely lacking in real world experience with average people from diverse socio economic backgrounds. Theres nothing wrong with that, they'll get that experience eventually along the way, but its affected how I post here. The kid Im arguing with may be a genius who already has lots more book learning than I'll ever have if I live a million years, but often they cant understand simple obvious things about human nature that Ive learned over time. So, lately in these discussions when I sense thats what Im dealing with, I give up and move on to something else. Having said all that, Im not ashamed to admit Ive learned alot from all you inexperienced little geniuses:thumbsup:

Whats common sense good for anyway?

Avoiding Darwin Award nominations, for one thing.

I feel so old at 20 years old! *cries* I graduate from university in LESS THAN A YEAR'S TIME. Oh my gosh - i have to get a REAL JOB and be a PROPER GROWN UP in 12 months time! I always had the excuse of being young and stupid when being irresponsible but now what?

[PS does anyone want to employ me when I graduate? I'm smart and hard working, honest! :P]

Sadly; Siemens, IBM, Microsoft, BAE, and every other technology-related business on the planet would outbid CFC readers

Your degree comes from Europe's no.1 engineering establishment, and did you know that on average, Imperial graduates earn more than graduates from any other university in the UK (source: Telegraph)

21

What a fun age.

You're sure you're not overestimating some of us? :p

I mean, I can instantly bring down the class and IQ of a room! It's my special talent!

Though the real world of huge loans and not enough cash and political work experience, however small, is the lubricant to my entry to the world.

Just under 6009 years old, but as far as most people are concerned, I'll be 22 in 5 months.

And, damnit, don't you think we could just sticky one of these, to prevent them from showing up every 2 weeks?

Turned 19 in July.

They don't appear every 2 weeks. Sometimes one appears one day after the last was psoted. Sometimes one appears several months later. A civfanatic's age also keeps changing anyway, so having new ones every so often makes some sense.
