Whats your favorite fruit?

Apples!

Good British apples! :D

You even have real cidar apples, there.

In Canada, our breweries fob off biproduct (100% "apple"), and "natural flavour".

I've tasted real British apple cidar once. A treat.

I love mangos best.

Thanks everybody! I'll be here all week! Don't forget to tip your servers!
BOOOOO!!! *throws a boot onto the stage*

I enjoy papaya or mango.

Either green grapes, or *shivers with delight* the ever-popular Granny Smith apple. :D

*closes eyes and sits back, basking in the lovely light of the green apple*

Ah, Granny Smith Apples ! Yummy, yummy, yummy. Elstar apples rock too, but maybe we only have those in the Netherlands.

Second place is taken by the watermelon and third by the peach, if only because it has the best ever fruit song dedicated to it :)

Peaches rock.

Peach pie, peach juice, peach flavored water, etc..

I've always wanted to have a secretary named peaches, too, just like Crocker did in Tom Wolfe's latest book.

You forgot Rasberry Flavored Peaches! Mmmmm! :)

Oranges, mangos, apples, bannanas, pears, tomatoes, grapes, melons...They're all good :)
(not papyas though)

how funny, I have the same thing with apples.

AHHHHH! TWO (!) people with the same dilemma as I! I can't stand biting into an apple, peach, pear or plum because it makes me cringe. I love the taste of peaches though when they don't have skin. My friends make fun of me for it, but it can be controlled to an extent. Like if i hear someone randomly bite into an apple i cringe and usually pound on the nearest object with a clenched fist. Unfortunately its often my thigh (ouch! dead leg!). I wonder if that Sensodyne toothpaste crap would do anything.....

I like watermelon and the Chinese fruit Lychee. Anyone here ever try that Southeast Asian fruit, that is brown and spiky and stinks really badly. I believe it's called Durian and people that are willing to try it say it is very good. I'll have to pick one up when they're in season.

You can indeed make wine from kiwi. I've never tried or seen it, but have heard of it. A google search returned this site among others. You can order online from them.

Seriously, nothing can compare to peaches from Alabama or Georgia.
Not so. Nothing compares with one fresh picked from the backyard. Its unfortunate that they dont ship well, of apricots would be much more popular. A ripe mango will bring me from another room, and a cantalope (muskmelon) with a scoop of good vanilla icecream is worth missing a good ballgame for. I like just about anything sweet and juicy.

PS Has anyone tried someof the candy sweet varieties of tomatoes? Its like the difference between Seville oranges and juice oranges.

True. This is one of the few reasons I like visiting my hillbily relatives in Alabama.

That big spikey coconut? They're all over this city. Most of us fear the durian. I understand that in Asian hotels, it is forbidden to eat durian in the room - the stench is so strong and revolting when cut. You must pinch your nose while putting it in you mouth. Then paradise, they say.

How do I start with that fruit? Which parts can I eat? Its anatomy a mystery to me.

Elstar. Never heard of that type.

 I googled it and it's local.

This among others:

McIntosh
Sunrise
Gala
Royal Gala
Spartan
Golden Delicious
Red Delicious
Mutsu
Empire
Pink Lady
Granny Smith
Braeburn
Fuji
Jonagold
Ambrosia

and all the bad ones ground up core and all to make 2 litre jugs of BC cidar, a crime.

I've heard rumours of a Spy apple, somewhere in the East.

Let's catalogue the world's apples.

I'm fine with strawberries, bananas, plums, cherries, kiwis, raspberries and grapes. I don't like *raw* grapefruits, apples, oranges. However, I like them in a pie or juice.

I know exactly how you feel, I love apples, but I cant eat them. Only if they are sliced into very small pierces.

I can't imagine your little green mouth of missing teeth starting a whole apple, Master Yoda. So, sliced into small pieces they are.

Rambutan, Vietnamese Dragon Fruit and Malaysian Star Fruit - just because I love to say those names:lol: (You gotta admit they are quite cool)
