Never made a real IQ test.... Internet tests gave me results of 120-140, but I don't trust them. Where do you take an IQ test?

I won't say here as i shall be accused of lying! My dad's IQ is extremely high- though i ask if i was as intelligent as it suggests surely i could do better than 2 C's in Science. Partly down to laziness but surely i should do better! I don't think they do reflect intelligence or ability however i won't question it as it gives me an extremely flattering answer. An answer i don't believe is accurate or that reflects my ability! Anyone else think that they are rubbish. BTW it was illegal to even mention IQ in the USSR and you could be killed for saying it. Everyone's equal etc..- an interesting fact!

I don't see IQ as a big deal though. There are plenty of supposed geniusess that suck at school where normal intelegent people can sometimes do good. I once read on a banner it's not your IQ that counts it's your I will, and i believe this to be true.

Yep so do i and i'm an extremely lazy person so IQ counts for nothing! Look at George Bush- puts in alot of effort but his IQ would suggest he wouldn't be able to do Homer Simpson's job yet he occupies one of the most important jobs in the world.

People around me usually regard me as a reasonably intelligent person... and I usually do have a certain ascendancy in the academical environments that I use to hang around...
Yet I do not get good results in IQ tests... generally 90 something, way into average.
I'm not saying that I am a not recognized genius, I'm just saying that I have seen people that have had better results than me, and that in conversations does not demonstrate any ascendancy.
I perceive this as those tests being too focused on mathemathics... not my best field.
Those things should be far more inter-disciplinary to have any hope of actually giving an minimally accurate view of a person's mind...

About 160, but it really depends on the test, if given one that puts emphasis on the verbal/lingual skills I usually score around 140, when it's mostly math and logic, I usually get the highest the test goes.
Oh, and genius level isn't 160 it's 130 or higher

I was in a chat room once. Some guy came in bragging about how smart he was. Then he said his IQ was 4.0!
The rest of us in the room proceeded to tell him he meant GPA; but nooooo, he insisted his IQ was 4.0!
Once I informed him that cauliflower has a higher IQ than that, he left the chat room.

My brother says that I'm slightly smarter than him and he's taken around seven professional IQ tests. So I guess I'm somewhere from 140-160.

IQ tests are irrelavent designs. Unless one can design a test that covers everything ever known to man, it is flawed. Besides, division of labour exists for a reason.
And anyone that claims above 140 is usually lying.

Edit: The lowest possible IQ (assumming a perfect test and that we fit the data exactly should be around -12

never taken an actual test, but internet tests place me mid-130s.
IQ tests are notoriously inaccurate and culturally biased so i wouldn't put any faith in any results you get out of it. There is also many different kinds of intelligences and the IQ test only tests probably 2.
