If you call me by my middle name I get annoyed, but if you call me Tony I punch you

My son's name is Anthony. He gets annoyed when we call him that, mostly because it means he's in trouble.

I try real hard to call people what they want to be called.

I worked with a guy, his name was Richard. Not Rich, not Rick, and certainly not Dick. One time, by accident, I called him Rich. This was after working with him for several years. In that time, everyone called him Richard. Period. People above him, and below him on the company latter. Never heard him called anything else. Anyways, I figured I was in for it. I apologized, and he said it was okay just so long as I didn't call him... and he left it at that. I always figured he was going to say Dick....
