When Off topic becomes On topic.

Can we easily figure out how many Cfc posts are made on average in a day? That number must be somewhere. TF can probably get if each forum too.

Past averages wouldn't be that indicative of current averages, as the site has grown.

But we can monitor it very easily. At 1535 my time, we are 419 posts over 1 million. Checking posts after a few hours, a day, a few days will give us an estimate of how many posts per day will happen for the rest of the year.

assuming Rik's 1.12pm timestamp on the screenie is from GMT (I think holland is gmt+1 or 2, but going with GMT will err on the low side), that's 419 posts in 15 1/3 hours, ~650 posts per day, ~240k in a year.

*edit* can't even remember my own timezone, due to daylight saving.

If Rik's timestamp was GMT, that's ~700 posts per day, ~256k per year

GMT+1, ~275k

GMT+2, ~298k

Maybe we can get a thread stickied that we update to show posting progress. Not that I want to encourage spam. This project is much bigger than that. :mischief:

EDIT: How about a counter on the forum that keeps track for us? What do you say TF?

Happy New Year... may this new set of 365 days bring us many more posts of the Off-Topic variety (lifts wine glass filled with non-alcoholic beverage, since he is only 13.)!

*clinks cody_the_genius's glass with own glass of Pepsi with ice in it*

Happy new year. Or is this OT's Christmas pressie? :hmm:

Then I demand.... one hundred BILLION dollars

Seriously though, nice job taking that screenshot... 1 mil is insane
