From big streamers such as Marbozir, quill18, etc? 2 weeks before release?
My bad, I'm not sure how I missed this... So yes, if they made preview copies off of the limited Marketing Build branch, they could come earlier than Feb 6.Marbozir's R&F preview was uploaded on January 22, R&F was released on February 8. Considering that GS come out on February 14, my guess is that we will get the previews starting on January 28.
Looking back at a few old videos, it looks like streamers were only allowed to publish their preview games of Rise and Fall 1 week before the launch date. If this brief research is correct, then I would guess it will be AFTER all of the Civs are announced by Firaxis. Since the final First Look should go live on Feb 5th, it might not be until the 6th or 7th of February that they are seen.![]()
I think the "first 50 turns" was the very very very first preview of the base game, Civ6, where people were allowed to play as China on a specific seed sharing a continent with America and Egypt. I'm sure the Rise & Fall preview was lifted to 150 turns from the 22nd onward (where they played it in advance, but couldn't publish or talk about it until the 22nd.) of course, a week before the release they were allowed to play and talk about the whole game with all 9 new leaders.Yeah I think they were allowed to play the first 50 or so turns? I'd have to go back and check. Some people are travelling soon, I hope that means something soon, but will depend on what the blackout agreement is.
I seem to recall a term limit for R&F previews, but I could be mixing that up with vanilla previews.
I do recall that the R&F preview build didn't include the Zulu, who were revealed last. However, the Ikanda was in the civilopedia, spoiling the reveal for those paying close attention.
A couple of weeks, perhaps a few days less, is a very reasonable guess, IMO.
He's not said what he's doing in SF today, has he?Speaking of Quill18, he's in San Francisco today, where 2K HQ is.
