[GS] When should we start getting Lets Plays of GS on YouTube?

I suppose Firaxis won't have a livestream that day if the media embargo drops.

I just hope that doesn't mean next week we won't get a Civ reveal on Tuesday, I hope they don't skip a week like they did with R&F so we can just be done with the reveals. Also if they reveal Phoenicia next week, maybe she will be in the demo they will play and we can see her in action

With R&F they revealed Scotland the same week streamers were allowed to start and Scotland was included in that build.

It's an interesting question about if they skip a week and which one. There are 3 weeks left but two First Looks.

1) skip next week, the embargo drops and livestreamers show all kinds of things to keep @Giskler busy. Then Phoenicia/Eleanor First Look on the 5th and the last one on the 12th.

2) have Phoenicia next week along with the embargo drop, skip a week, then do Eleanor 2 days before release, because of courtly love, Valentine's, and us being all thirsty for it after a skipped week.

3) have 1 FL next week along with the embargo drop, the last one on the 5th, and have livestreams or an overview video or whatever during the final week.

I find #3 the most likely . . . so it probably won't happen given my history of voting around here.

Honestly, and this is having no recollection at all about how they did it last time, I'd imagine that during Release Week they have about a million things to do and might not have the time to prepare for a stream or whatever.

Of the three, #2 feels the least likely.

I could see them skipping next week to let the press do its thing. But I could also see them finishing up a week before release and just doing other promotional stuff.

No, Scotland wasn’t in the build streamers got to see. I remember the guys from Yogscast going through the civ list and it did not include Robert yet
They were Tamar, Chandragupta, Ghengis Khan, Wilhelmina, Poundmaker, Seaondeok

In one of the livestreams arouse a question about modding and the lead producer suspended the answer to what I understood as something they are planning towards 'modding information' ...

Firaxis could do their live stream on Wednesday since we won't have a wonder reveal next Wednesday (I believe we have all of them correct?)

Exactly, they’ll have to squeeze or not the modding discussion in one of those weeks. I’m actually looking forward to that.

I predict final civ at usual time next week, but no livestream and instead embargo drop on Thursday. If they were skipping a first look, I don't think they'd wait until Thursday for anything to happen. Although they could release an informational video instead of a first look. I just don't think they would do nothing in the first half of the week.

I wouldn't be surprised if they save the new leader for the final week for some final hype. Both she and the multiple-civ mechanic will generate buzz (some negative, especially about her, but buzz is buzz), so that's indirect for release week.

The week in between? Maybe modding? Or just let the lifted embargo run its course? A couple of game mechanics videos?

I think Firaxis won't do a First Look on the final week, they'd be very busy polishing GS and I think they'll want to keep the consecutive weeks of showing first looks at the moment going.

We also assume there'd be a livestream on the Thursday after the first look, I can't see that happening in the final week.

Well, to squeeze or not to squeeze That is the question ... my cat has still seven lives

Running the modding discussion & lifted embargo in parallel would have the advantage of possible disappointment only bothering the really caring few and not the bored & waiting troop. ;) (dodge & away)

If that is the question, what is the rub? You not answering the question! But I’m happy your cat is doing well. ;)

So are you part of the caring few or the bored and waiting troop?

They were allowed to play a build before the embargo dropped with which they recorded their first videos.

Edit: I guess I should clarify that Scotland was patched into the press build after the reveal.

You not answering the question!
Then the answer probably defaults to the standard: 42.
So are you part of the caring few
I care about the sources of GameCoreDLL as well as a Civ6 Lua API description (at least complete list of Lua Events & Objects with arguments & return values).

PS. Let us not disturb here the celebration of Civs & alternate leaders.

For me DLL Source access would be better than any expansion.I trust this community of modders a lot.
