Where's the ban?!

I agree. I feel it was absolutely unacceptable. I do not see any justification for it whatsoever and I feel that the nutless turd responsible should admit it.

Now, we do have a woman mod, so let's watch those comments Gonzo...

Well she isn't a turd so it still works! ;)

Fine fine...

I think the ******* turd who did it should admit it.

Accidents do happen... I agree. But from an earlier comment TF made, it doesn't seem like any other activity has happened lately.

Even if it was an accident, somebody should remember that they were doing something... Heck, i remember making somebody a mod... thank god ;)

There is a confirmation screen first. What could they have been thinking??? ;)

And when they saw "Choke has been banned!" you'd think they'd have seen something. Quite frankly an accident is not possible.

Someone needs to confess.

Hmmm... we don't get confirmation screens... If you guys do, I would then have to agree with you that an accident is very unlikely ;)

We get an "Are you sure?" screen and a screen saying they've been banned. VERY unlikely ;)

Since I use an admin log on at poly, I can make pretty much make any change I want. If I hit update, I don't get a confirmation screen... So it is easy for me to "make somebody a mod" instead of banning or unbanning them. It's just a slip of the finger. That's why I thought an accident was possible. From what you say...

Maybe TF did it? :)

j/k ;)

Anyway, back on topic... I know when I ban someone, I always double (even triple) check to see that I have the right name. (Especially if it's a DL).

The only "user options" a moderator gets on that screen/form is "ban" and "veiw". If you push ban, you then then get a "do you really want to ban x" confimation box.

Lefty, is there a way to ban mass amounts of users at once? If I have to do one at a time, it'll get tiresome... I got Chris' password, I'll be switching out Pepard for Smug soon enough... "View and Ban..." hehehe... :goodjob:

I'm thinkin I know who dunnit, (on topic) but then ya know, no one seems to care now but Ming and AOA and Gonz. Maybe Choke does, I dunno...

Choke, you shoud have contacted me asap when you realize you are banned and you don't know why. This way you will be unbanned immediately if it's an error.

No that I don't care; just nothing to add really. ;) Seems to reveal a weakness in the whole banning procedure if each ban isn't properly accounted for.

So, still no idea who did it? Could it be a system error?

forgot to add something,

I believe vB 3.0 will have a better banning system. Banned users could be unbanned automatically when time is up and I heard there will be a central banned users page for mods and admins that shows how long a ban is, who banned a user, and why.

I'll let this thread remain open. :p

We need more visine in this thread, the winkies are out of control. I think Gonzo may be Ming's DL with all theses wink's. He did it and is now having a debate with himself.

So since no one has owned up to this terrible act, surely TF must get rid of all the current Mods and replace them with Floppa. Its the only sensible option. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
