No thanks. I will purchase GS when it's on 50% sale. It looks awesome, but I am not so eager to buy it pricy.
When I get it though, I will probably be hungry. (pundefint)
I would still like to wait and see what is to come, but given what we’ve seen so far and how the leak has held up, I am very curious about Eleanor. I don’t usually play the W. euro civs, but she may convince me otherwise. As for the new civs, Mali, Canada and the Inca are on my short list, although lately I’ve been itching to play India or Russia with the new GS mechs, so who knows.
I've been waiting for Mali hoping it would be in the base game and it's been a couple of years. I don't need to see the first look to know who I'll be playing as.
I know we don't have all the reveals yet, but we need something to pass the time with these dead weeks without much coming from Firaxis. I'll keep the poll open so people can change their votes as we get new reveals.
I REALLY like what they have done with the Maori, but I probably won't choose them first since I'll want to start with something more traditional to get my feet wet.
I will also probably save the best Diplo Civs for a slightly later play through. I will want to figure out the new Diplomacy game a bit before picking someone designed specifically for it.
It will probably be whoever is the best new Science or Economic Civ, as those cater to my play-style. The Cree were my first R&F Civ, out of the gate.
Of course the add on question is what difficulty will you play on.
People mention trying more traditional civs to get used to the new mechanics. It's tempting, but I'll still go with Maori, but I will be dropping down to Prince level. I prefer to be on even footing as I learn new mechanics and victories.
I voted for Inca. I also will give Eleanor a whirl. I have my favorite civs and tend to play massive maps with 25+ civs so I usually stick to my favorites.
Yeah I'm going crazy especially since I've started work today and it's so quiet here, most of my colleagues are still on holiday. I can't play Civ at work but I can check in here.
Anyhow as it stands it's Maori first up for me. Depends on what they do with Phoenicia.
Probably an existing civ thats somewhat changed by GS or the Netherlands against all the new civs on a somewhat easier level to see how they look in game and listen to all the new music tracks.
Also to try to familiarize myself with the new game rules and features before launching a campaign with one of the new civs.
Of the 4 already featured new civs I probably go with Inca for my following game but that can change if we learn more about the other 4, but probably not Eleonore, even if her features may be very cool, it still will be England or France your playing as.
From the abilities and gameplay Inca , so far no idea what un-revealed civs abiliets are , maybe they are more fun , but so far Inca takes the cake by most fun stuff.
