clockwise.... no, counter-clockwise.... no wait, clockwise.... no, counterclockwise.... aaarrrggghhh!!! :crazyeye:

This is fun. Now I can build a mental model ahead of time and set the direction of spin firmly.

I'm left-handed and I can't make her turn anything but counter-clockwise.

Same!!

(though I'm not fully left-handed - I was 100% left-handed when I was very young, then it changed and changed and in the last years I can do anything with both hands, though the left remains stronger, more developed and more accurate)

I can't see anything but clockwise.

edit: I wish I could get her to change, because then I could be British and insist on calling it anticlockwise.

Oh my God!! I managed to get her to spin clockwise. How did I do that?? I have no idea.

Edit: I discovered a way. Each time I do a certain action, she spins the other way than she did before. The action is: if I focus behind the monitor for a bit of time, then slowly get my eyes back to focusing on the monitor of my computer, it always changes direction!

Clockwise, how the hell can you see counter clockwise?

Oh, I'm left handed if it has anything to do with it.

anti-clockwise (though i accidentally clicked clockwise too, i guess that happened to a lot of voters :-) )
no chance to see it the other way...

counter clockwise until i turned my laptop screen upside down ;), the really freaky thing is that now, all the sudden, i see her going clockwise a couple of turns with the screen straight!

EDIT: wow, ok i figured something out, as long as i look straight at it the dancer moves counter-clockwise, but if i tilt my head left (so that my right eye is higher than my left eye) she start spinning clockwise which she will keep doing until i close my eyes for a second or i tilt my head on its right side.

I was just as convinced as you that it must be spinning counter clockwise...
Have you tried my method? For me it works perfectly in reversing her movements.

Gah, now it's settled on clockwise.

That really works.

I found another way:
Blink rapidly, and the gilr changes rotating direction on the run :)

Ha! Those both work! (and so does my method, I tested it :))

Also another one I found is holding your hand right in front of the girl (but without covering her body) and slowly moving it back towards your body. :) That's pretty much the same with my first "focusing" method, but a bit different since this one implies focusing on a point closer than the monitor while the other implies focusing beyond the monitor.

So there are 4 ways discovered only in this thread to make it change the sense of spinning... That's

Oh,
I can also see her...
nipples :D

 I speculate that the image itself ( a girl) is the reason why most people here see it clockwise, while in reality the majority of people are not left-handed and not right-brain dominant.

It would probably get a better result if the image is an animal or something.

RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONS:
imagination rules
symbols and images
fantasy based

So if you're a male looking at such a picture, your RIGHT brain become more activated, hence why most people here see it clockwise. :mischief:
