While We Wait: Part 4

:eugh: very well.. never understood it to obsession myself..

I was never obsessed, but I found the trading card game quite fun... I am still playing it once in a while with some pals.

It happens once every 11 months or so, but still.

You ever play MtG? Thats the daddy that spawned the card game..

I know it yes, and have tried it a couple of times... But the problem with that game is (Even though it is far more advanced, had more quality/depth and was far more strategic) that only two of my friends played it... And they had uber decks. So mine was simply beaten up and swept aside. Everyone had Pokémon on the other hand, so it was simple to fight with that instead :)

I played it a little with my former best friend. I think I beat him once because he was using a fire deack and I had one card immune to fire attacks and fire spells.

God that was awesome. We rarely ever finished our matches though .

Fëanor! I can see you... update you nes!!?!?

In that case, go for an Earth 2000 BC fresh start, using the IT-BT system. It might be interesting to use a cradle-type system for that--so players can only start in the first BT where there was actually real civilization at that point (the Middle East, India, and China essentially). Basically CZ maps, but much stricter.

If I were to mod this as a fairly fast (i.e. update every three-four days) NES, would people participate? And should there be one, two, or three cradles?

If there's enough enthusiasm, I'll put a thread up tonight.

It sounds like something I'd join. I might take a while to learn the rules if they're complicated. But I'd most likely join anyways.

I like the idea of two or three cradles.

The rules won't be that complicated, as I want to make updating it fairly easy. The main reason for limiting starting locations is to make player interaction sufficiently high that I don't have to deal with huge numbers of NPCs.

Consider me in then. Big rules tend make me spend too much time calculating. Sekai is enough of a task already.

A jalNES? No doubt I would join.
Excellent. :) That reminds me I need to join yours if it's still around...

Expect the thread up in <1 hour.

Hurry up North King I want to see what is going to happen to my ex-nation!
