While We Wait: Part 5

Dar-Al-Islam didn't collapse until the BT, so it doesn't count. Besides my successor states survived till the end. Well one of them at least. Damn Luckymoose.
Why the hell wouldn't it count? Even if you didn't send BT orders it would count.

Do we need a new thread already?

Last one had 83 more pages. I guess we could make another thread, but is it really needed?
The mods usually like threads not to last over a hundred pages. Not that NESers usually care anyway.

(Other than for angering Abaddon ;) )
Eh, he's not really around. :p

EDIT: Of course your empires aren't built to last, silver. Dar al-Islam was one of the world's worst ideas taken to a startling degree.

This thread's only been around a month and a half. At this rate, come next year we'll be at WWW13 if we create a new one every hundred pages.

EDIT: And we're a good 300 posts behind the next-shortest WWW thread (excluding the 40-page WWW1, of course).

It couldn't be helped. Ahmad Shah Bahadur was clearly the reincarnation of Alexander the Great. Only he went the other direction.
Except Alexandros actually had to fight people with a modicum of skill. You, on the other hand, rolled over a player who was already weak from a failed invasion of the Ottoman Empire, and then rolled over said Empire after I'd basically torn them to shreds, and because the player who was in charge failed to send effective orders.

The government was sorely flawed sure, I should have stuck with fanatical Islam or something.
Yeah, because "Islam" is the same from Anatolia to Sennar to northern India. There wasn't much that could have saved you.

I fought in the first war against him too. And I had to put down the revolt in Bengal, and I fought Portugal in India and Russia in Central Asia. Oh and Qing China. And I fought Thaily's Egypt. And andis's Sennar.
Portugal was basically incapable of offensive action after the metropoly went away. Russia figured you were a tertiary theater at best. Qing China was a dead letter. Thlayli was a bloody rebel movement, and Sennar was wasted from a decade of war.

The Umayyad's managed it. For a while anyway.
Equatism? :p At the very least, Shi'ism didn't exist in a powerful form in Persia before the Safavids. Big, big difference right there.

Pray tell, good sir, as to why my person is so incredibly gullible (outside NESing, of course--I am so incredibly gullible in the games).

You're incredibly gullible for the reason you just plainly stated :p. I honestly don't know you outside of NESing, so I won't make that claim. In the games, however, you are gullible.

So I was luckier than Alexander. Not my fault.
Yeah, but it doesn't change the fact that in your place, most competent NESers would have been able to do the same. It wasn't a Great and Glorious Achievement. Plus das practically gave you a free ride with reforms, just like most mods Back In The Day. I mean, you basically changed everything about the Mughal Empire and then got away with a one-turn revolt that was crushed with few problems? Seriously? It doesn't make you any less skilled, but it's not a be-all, end-all, Best NESing Achievement EVAR!!!!!!!1111OMGLOLWTFBBQ.

Perhaps. I could have probably unified them under the common sport of slaughtering and oppressing the Kurds and Armenians or something. I'm sure that would have worked.
Because Indian and African Muslims really care about that sort of thing.

Everyone hates the Kurds and Armenians. God included.
Pretty much, yeah. :p

I assassinated most of my opponents before hand. Purges work dude.
In the eighteenth century? :p

Never claimed it was. But it is the biggest empire I've created.
Fair enough, but I thought that your Tibet was a more impressive achievement.

The Jews then. The Jews are the universal scapegoats across cultures. God hates them too.

:p

is it just me, or are you creating a reason AFTER the fact?
