While We Wait: Part 5

When its debatable, it's a point large enough to argue about. :p I personally just like discussing. The people I know in RL are really dumb.

The problem is that during the first couple of turns, Hu'ut culture was way ahead of Farou. Farou reached Strong in turn 3 or such. Did any Faroun man want to have slaves like in the neighbour Hu'ut empire, helping him survive because they helped him produce food at the farm? No. Then the Farou along the level of the Hu'ut culture for some turns before becoming stronger than them. Did any Hu'ut man then want to release his slaves so that he had it more difficult to feed himself? Well, appearantly.
The thing is, even if slavery was a more practical solution in Farou, the social stigma against the act of enslavement and the maintenance of slaves is strong to the point where it would be immediately shot down. Doubtlessly there have been individuals who have considered, or even desired slaves, but doing so, or expressing those views, would bring such a backlash from their family and community that they would quickly be silenced. On the other hand, it would be much easier for people in a slaveholding society to not have slaves- they would simply considered to be noncomforming, foolish eccentrics.

Actually the Hu'ut and Farou reminds me a lot of the South and North prior to the Civil War :p Ideology wise at least...

Well, any NESers pick up Call of duty World at War or download the Left 4 Dead Demo for the X-Box 360?

Also: Who is Zaerun? NK mentioned him in EoE and I saw him in this forum for a little bit, but I haven't seen him posting at all.
