While We Wait: Part 5

I have gone to college in a ridiculously warm region, so I'm pretty sure das will win the snow event this year.

40 degrees Celsius, 90% humidity... *I would hide in a corner but I’d likely die of heat exhaustion*

There's definatley no snow here in this hellhole.
Where, in Joisey? Wait a few months, usually the Mid-Atlantic doesn't get snow until late November or December, sometimes even before Thanksgiving. (Thought you knew that.)

... ****ing Aucklander's nothing South of the Bombay Hills :p

I've been beyond the Bombays. Just never in winter because the bloody Desert Highway gets iced up and snowed in. And I drive a Triumph which would die in those conditions.

Plus, it's not like you silly Waikato-ians have any snow! :p

Heh. ;)

(Was this deliberate?)

It's an insiders joke; the rest of New Zealand accuses Auckland [the biggest city] of never going past the Bombay Hills, the outer limits of Auckland. The other classic is the accusation that there is nothing past the Bombay Hills, the news media covers Auckland exclusively [or at least with a significant portion of its content, nobody gives a toss about Auckland city council's incompetence, how it makes the "national" new is beyond me; and while I was there last you wouldn’t think anything else was happening], Wellington [the capital] just sits in the corner and reads the Dominion, the South Island just ignores the North, and Auckland seems to believe everyone cares about it.

And I also think Bannanalee is insulting me by calling me a Waikato-ians, considering my ancestors on both sides killed them [when they were not killing each other]. But they also had the balls to create a “Maori” Monarch nobody else recognizes [except the aforementioned media] which is really the worst bit.

And the Desert Highway is a terrible road, which is notorious for freezing over, and/or getting snowed in [which that far North is unusual] not to mention the stupid horses which seem to enjoy getting run over…

Obviously Banana Lee’s knowledge extends down the main highway, hell he might even be aware of the second class citizens outside of Auckland, bloody poverty tourist! You sadistic bugger :p.

I am moving and working in NZ next year. Thoughts?

I'll only be there for a year, work placement as part of my course.

Winter is coming friends...winter is coming.
