While We Wait: Part 6

Maybe it's just all the NESes I've modded he doesn't like to send orders for hahaha.

Sp, if you had 5 players, your update would go very easilly.

But then the NES'd be no fun. :(

While it is quite a hassle to write the update, for some reason, I enjoy it. I turn giddy and nuts. I asked my science teacher about this, apparently I'm releasing endorphins or something.

Did your science teacher look at you like o.O while he was giving you an answer to what must have been an extremely odd question?

awesome, cause youre pretty good at them.

If I wanted to type using French keyboard characters how would I go about it?

Thanks! :hatsoff:

Meh. I installed the keyboard(s). It's a lot more fun to remember three instead of one.

on a mac, é is option-e-e
à is option-`-a
ü is option-u-u
î is option-i-i
ç is option-c

thats how i do it

you could get a little USB peripheral keyboard with custom controllable buttons and have them type whatever characters you want.

I should do that, would be epic.

Please explain....

I'm using Windows Vista, so it might be a little different for you. Going into the control panel, then under the "Clock, Language, and Region" option you see the line "change keyboard or other input methods". Clicking on that will bring up the "Regional and Language options", with a button on the third tab (default for me) offering "Change Keyboards". You click on this and it brings up another window with your default and the other options you currently have. If you have not messed with this before, it should only list English (United States).

If you wanted to add another language, you simply click 'add' (on the side), and then select the language from the drop down list. This will drop down a list of dialects and options to select from, and you simply choose the one you like best (or need). Finally, after you set up the first language it will offer (or will do automatically, I really don't remember) the option of creating a task bar button to allow for easy switching. If you take it, you simply have to select the icon on the bottom and switch the keyboards.

Yeah, you have a few steps to go through to set it up, but I like it better than the alt-method. The accents and such are easier for me, and it comes naturally after using them for a bit. Through I still dislike the setup of the French keyboard; I only use it when necessary.

Instead of having to type (or hit) those options or alts, you hit the mark (') and then the vowel 'a' and you get the accent á.

I'm helping a French friend who is coming to the US in the spring and needs to use a US computer and type French characters. She is not very computer literate and it needs to be a simple solution.

On another note, here is a link to a site with photos from a Russian artillery museum. It has lots of pictures of old weapons including a stone throwing cross bow.

Ahh that should do the trick. I checked and XP has the same feature. Thanks.

You know you are tired when you describe the Rio Declaration as:

[01:17:14] Dachs: YO
[01:17:29] Dachs: SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
[01:17:41] Dachs: THAT IS A GOOD IDEA

Wow, that was quick...

You know what else was quick? This thread has already almost hit 100 pages and I didn't even notice until just now.
