We get less international news, because the majority of the News in the world comes from within our own nation. Other news pops up very frequently if you switch between various news stations. American holidays are more important as our culture is everywhere and most nations understand the concept of a lot of our holidays. I rarely ever hear international awareness for Australian holidays.
What's a Fanny pack? And what's a thong?
I would like to note that Lucky does not represent all Americans.

If we choose to participate in a NES run by an Australian, we would have to.
Since you're the one who chose to participate in North King (an American)'s nes, then you have to learn when American holidays are.![]()
I actually do hear about ANZAC Day from time to time, but I couldn't remember when it is. Or any holiday that isn't a bank holiday in the US, for that matter.
Its funny how he said that he didnt see international awareness, considering that you in the UK heard about it from time to time.
No I am actually just kind enough to realise that there are very few nesers from Australia (although we are the second biggest nation for nesing after America) and would just use normal internationally recognised date and time like anyone else dealing with things that cross national borders would do![]()

Then how come America is the only one to celebrate Labour Day or Thanksgiving when they do? Or how come America is the only one calling it "Veterans Day"?
We also call it armistice day, and most people have heard of turkey day.![]()
No is that when you act like a turkey for the day? I must admit I thought with you that was most days... haha

You have proven the fact that Australia is the most unfunny nation on the planet.
I never hear it called Armistice day here. And other countries do celebrate Thanksgiving, but for different reasons.
Not sure about that. The UK is probably bigger, and Finland used to be as well. Canada's probably up there as well.
