While We Wait: The Next Generation

If I get carpal tunnel from this I'm going to sue you, TF.

On an unrelated note has anyone seen Lord_Joakim lately? I need to know if I should wait for his orders or not. Has anyone who likes fantasy NESes actually looked at my NES? I was wandering as fantasy NESes seem popular at the moment and I have a distinct lack of players at the moment only two. Is there any reason why people are not joining it? Assumeing there are can you please PM them to me or post it in the thread. Please do not be too overtly rude in the thread.

In fact case my quesion did not really apply to you did it?

Don't answer that quesion it is rhetorical.

I'm going to answer anyway. It sort of did because I did at one point join a satanic NES which was sort of cool and I got to be a complete perv. So if you do something like that then I could always join. In other words what Shadowbound said.

I suppose the chance do bring about the end of the world did not interest both you ND and silver. I am completely open to grim, dark fantasy. My last NES had some rather inventive torture in it. I will allow you to completely ruin the world and bring about a world of pure evil and shadow instead. Does that appeal to any satanists or Grimdark lovers?

Well, your NES has some things that turned me away. Pre-determined gods, with pretty much pre-determined effects for worshiping them (except for Khaos, but even that might be predictable). For example, you only have 2 "evil" gods that you urge the players not to worship, lest they suffer corruption penalties. you don't give them any reason they should worship those gods, which I see as a little strange.

Your military stat is something I don't really understand. You don't have a standard number from which to base military strength off of. For example, I have no clue if 25 is a high number for quality or not.

There are probably some other things I forgot, but those are somethings that are a little iffy. However, I think the map looks surprisingly good.

It is based out of 100. Twenty-five is the average score for a starting nation. It roughly portrays a nation's strength at a glance. For the map thank Darth. As for the evil gods if you are playing as an evil state corruption is not such a bad thing and corruption will rise even if you are fighting the most noble war in the world. The evil gods will give you benefits as well maybe I should have expressed that more clearly. Predermined gods is a flaw but they have always been part of this mythos in my head and previous NES why should I get rid of them? You can change names, worship them anyway you like and you can make up less important gods that have sightly less effect on the game. Why do people not bring these kind of things up in dev threads? Would it help if I got rid of the military stat?

I have a question for GIMPers out there- when I try to increase the latest NESer World Map to 16 million colours, I am told that there is not enough memory. However, with the old world map, I can use the 16 million colours setting, and thus do transparencies between layers properly. Do any of you know what might help?

No and no one ever will. NESers are Luddites.

A truer statement has never been said. Why all my updates are fed to beavers who type in the information on typewriters made of wood they carved themselves. From there a legion of sparrows fly the finished paper (also made by the beavers, they're very industrious) to a series of apes who correct the spelling and grammar. They then bring it to me using hollowed coconuts and I prompty throw it all away and do it on Microsoft Word in my nice air conditioned apartment. Ever tried to read a beaver written update? It's all gibberish.

Where (in Gimp) did you try to do that?

I had a dream about a NES in which there are animal factions, its all laid out in my head, too. Anyone interested?

Well, I failed to do anything, so I didn't really change colours anywhere. I can't do it in my old Paintshop Pro 3 either.

Are you talking something ZPNES style? IE: Craziness?

I looked for a place to make such a change and could not find it. I seem to have plenty of colors though.
