Whitethorne

Jake, finally arriving at his destination, slammed on the door panting for breath.

"C'mon! Open up damn it!" Jake yelled and banged on the door another couple times. Finally the door opened and it was the gunsmith who answered.

"What is it boy? You're supposed to be working, and why do ya have that rifle with you?!"

Jake told his mentor what had happened and that he was afraid to go to the sheriff after he had already gotten himself into some trouble. He asked if his mentor could do anything about and if he could lay low around his house for a little while until the situation cleared up....

(Gunsmith respond to this making a story)

That might be good.

A man in a cavalry uniform stood upon a noble stallion, he bore the stripes of a sergeant and he peers through a looking glass into the distance. To the wondering coyote he may appear to be alone and that is exactly how Sergeant Timothy Howe wanted it to be like, his 20 men were over the crest of the hill and out of sight. Sergeant Howe peered around, he noticed a dust trail and figured them to be those Banditos that kidnapped the Congressman's wife. With a wave the cavalry raced over the hill and down to the trail in hot pursuit.

Two hours later Sergeant Howe and his men were on the border between Texas and Mexico, Sergeant Howe could see the men clearly, but no woman, could they have been following the wrong group? As Sergeant Howe turned another man showed up from around the hill and seemed surprised to see the cavalry there, so surprised in fact that he turned his horse around and gave it the spurs, but it was useless, 5 cavalrymen popped out from their hiding place and had the man surrounded. Sergeant Howe approached the Mexican and began to speak in clear Mexican, "Who are you?"
The Mexican looked defiantly into Howe's eyes and said, "Liberators!"
Howe knew exactly what he meant, the Mexican Bandits considered themselves liberators of Texas.
Howe knelt down and whispered, "What do you know of the stagecoach robbery earlier today?"
The Mexican shut his mouth and refused to speak, Howe shrugged and walked over to think, he knelt down and picked something up quickly, "Very well if you wont speak to me, perhaps you will speak to this?" Howe thrust a rattlesnake close to the Mexican's face.
The Mexican whimpered and shouted, "Alright I will talk just take it out of here!" Howe removed the snake but still held it. "Speak."

"We stopped the stagecoach hoping it had the gold, but when we found that there were no gold, we took the first woman we saw and took off. You damn cavalrymen were too fast."
"And where were you going to take the woman?"
"To Monterrey, our leader has a hideout there." The Mexican snickered. "And there is nothing you can do, you cannot go into Mexico." With that he spit into Howe's face and tried to run, but stumbled and fell into a rattlesnake nest. Over the shouts and screams of the dying Mexican Howe cursed and and told his men to mount up, they were going to town to let Jacob know about the situation.

Guys, keep the stories coming. I'll be gone for a week starting tomorrow (22nd) and when I get back I expect some good narratives ;). Y'all haven't let me down yet, and I can't wait to see some more. I'll work on the update when I get back, if I believe enough stuff has happened to warrant a "week".

Since Dreadnaught doesn't seem to be posting, starting a new storyline until he gets back.
