"Hey, hey, LBJ, how many did you kill today?..."
You should have gone back at least that far, remember there ARE some people here who were "all growed up" when Reagan was president

....
Johnson--Got us VERY deep into a war we should never have gotten involved in, plus he was a power-seeking snake who blackmailed everybody. Probably the worst in my lifetime (well I was born in '68, his last year....)
Nixon--Yes he got us out of Vietnam (eventually), but he was a crook, and we still probably don't know the whole story on that scumbag....
Ford--Nothing real memorable about him--could have been halfway decent but was a victim of Watergate fallout....
Carter--A very morally upstanding man (rare for a president or other high official), was a "true" Christian.... But he was weak as a leader. I still remember the gas lines and prices of everything going up month by month....
Reagan--while he rubbed shoulders with the fundies, he really didn't give them much of anything they wanted (but he made recovering fundies like me pretty nervous). But overall I remember him as a strong leader, a sort of "father figure" we needed at the time. The 80s economy was good too (although the music royally sucked

but that has nothing to do with the prez). Put it this way, I've already seen much worse, and have since then too....
Bush Sr.--a second (or is it third) generation rich boy, ex-CIA and involved in some dubious sh*t in Latin America. A cynical power junkie who f*cked up in the end....
Clinton--likeable guy (I'd have a beer with him), but represented the sleazy side of the democratic party. Janet Reno, money from China, technology to China, lots of people dying mysteriously.... You be the judge. I also disagreed with many of his views, especially gun control. And MTV just assuming that he was the great hope and voice of Generation X made me vomit. I certainly didn't give a sh*t about his love life, and I was pissed that THAT was where all the attention was going, when it should have been focused on things far worse....
Bush Jr.--like someone said, he (unlike the others) hasn't had the benefit of a full term yet. I don't have a lot of respect for him given his background of f*ckups and addiction though--all covered by his rich family and friends. I really think he needs to prove a lot about himself. Will he do it? We'll see....
Of the four choices, I didn't vote for any of them--they all had bad and good about them. But in MY lifetime? LBJ, all the way....
