Arawak or Taino
'Bout time for a Caribbean civ.
It would be nice to have a civ that could take advantage of small islands. It seems like those are going to feel pretty marginal with the "unstacked cities". Perhaps they can get more population capacity from work boats and harbors or coastal city centers.
"Civilizations" that never advanced past the stone are represented in the game... by Minor Tribe huts and Barbarians.
There. I said it.![]()
Iroquois, Sioux or Cherokee are all great choices. Just for variety, I'd favor Sioux or Cherokee because they weren't in Civ 5.
I think the Inuit would be an interesting choice. Although small in number, their culture and life style is very unique. plus, it'd be nice ot be able to do something nifty with those tundra/ice tiles![]()

Same can be said of the Zulus.Point of clarification, the Celts were unquestionably iron age, not stone age. Their weapons were made of Iron.
In civ 4 the civ was actually just called "Native Americans" and represented them as a whole instead of picking a specific group.
I'd prefer not to have the Sioux for two reasons: the temptation to stereotype is too great and the average non-Native American seems to think all Native Americans are Sioux as it is. It would be nice to get some media coverage for some of the less visible cultures.
Why do you assume the Inuit are in?
Since I believe the Inuit are not going to be included, I voted the Cree to represent Canada.
Just not the Inuit, please!
The game is called Civilization, not Tribes!
While very original and interesting, the Inuit cannot play on par with Rome or China, otherwise the game's turning to garbage.
Not at all garbage, just more inclusive and creative. We were able to include the Inuit in CiV as a mod, as it had everything necessary to design a UA and two uniques.
