I've been following Caveman to Cosmos for a while but haven't posted until now.
I've played games on Versions 24, 25, 27, and currently on 29. I love the immersive factor to the game; I think it is by far more immersive than any game I have ever played. I am also a bit of a history buff, and I appreciate the care that gone into making the history represented by C2C both detailed and accurate. The game is fun enough that I tolerate the load times and places where it is incomplete.
The slow pace--I always set it to Eternity, which is why I haven't played every version--is a lot of fun. With most Civilization games, I am always looking ahead and rushing to the next major advance/era, but in C2C, I can savor each era and get into the time period.
I am more of a builder than a fighter. My favorite aspect of the game is building side: expanding borders, connecting things up with roads, acquiring resources, loading up cities with improvements, and working through the tech tree.
Believe it or now, C2C has also inspired me to make a career change. I am a mathematician by training, but I have decided to study artificial intelligence because I want to make the future eras happen (in real life, though for the future eras to be happen in C2C would be nice too).

I forgot to add, thank you C2C team for all your work. One of the less obvious factors that makes this game so awesome is that it is a labor of love.
