Why do you play C2C?

It is the only game I have installed.

I am civ fanatic since I was 14. This mod gives me entire new level of civ experience.
Whan I played civ 4 I felt inside that something should work diffrent etc etc

And ROM and AND has a lot of that things and now C2C gives me ability to feel deeply each era.
And c2c dev plans are very close to my feelings what ultimate civ game should have. Thank you all.

I play C2C because of the depth of the simulation. Also because I can learn a lot about histories coherency as well as cultures and their leaders.

In the bigger picture my signature quote of Zappara comes into play - I believe in Civ as a milestone or at least a fine impressionistic view on the way to the content that a
Tipler-Singularity would consist of (once the temperature of space will be flattening a universe "settled" by von-Neuman-vehicles could transport the collected information about life into the next universe by creating a singularity -- a 'godly' moment of absolute information matrix)

I am hoping (and therefore arguing and participating in C2Cs evolvement) that the way towards transhumanism will not lose the 'humanism' and the aproach will have values included like justice and empathy (as cited in my secoundary signature quote).

It is probably the Ultimate 4X strategy turn based game Mod available.

I started playing C2C at around version 9 or so. Before that, I tried so many mods. Most were "almost, but not quite". Then I found C2C. Like your tagline says, "no need for any other mod, it's all included." Plus, it's the little bits that I like - the large icons, being able to patrol a border, and now the button to choose what city to send a unit to. Not to mention all the buildings, units, and techs. I love diversity.

I used to play ROM and A New Dawn, then C2C. It add tons of things and tons of fun. I love this MOD. Hope we can play MOD like C2C on CIV5.

- Massive amount of great additional content: animals, hunting, units, buildings, wonders, slavery, you name it...
- Expanded tech tree, expanded amount of turns ( feels way more epic now )
- constant support of dedicated and talented people; svn is an amazing tool; every new version of c2c feels like a 10$ dlc
- a couple of weeks ago i started a game of civ4 complete without the mod... a sobering experience

summa summarum : best turn based strategy game out there!!!!

I have been playing C2C 28 for 150 hours and I am still in renaissance era (eternity speed, about 22% of turns made). Isn't it wonderful there is still so much ahead? I would become fed up with any other game after such a period. So, don't listen to the people who complain about the mod complexity and keep up doing your great job.

Most of my points have been mentioned already, the deepness of the game, the many new ideas, the constant improvements (AI, UI, bugs etc.), the many new things I find in the SVN every day. And because you are such a great team!

I play Civilization now for nearly 20 years but I never played one version for such a long time as C2C (yes, for me C2C is a complete new version of civ). Keep it going!

They are both on the HD, but they don't get the attention C2C or AND2.0 gets. (There's no real forum left for either either. :( DW and Armada see daylight from time to time too.)

What was your MoO3 username?

The BIGGEST mod so far.
Should have SOME more ideas incorporated, but overall it's still the BEST one there IS now. :D

I've been following Caveman to Cosmos for a while but haven't posted until now.

I've played games on Versions 24, 25, 27, and currently on 29. I love the immersive factor to the game; I think it is by far more immersive than any game I have ever played. I am also a bit of a history buff, and I appreciate the care that gone into making the history represented by C2C both detailed and accurate. The game is fun enough that I tolerate the load times and places where it is incomplete.

The slow pace--I always set it to Eternity, which is why I haven't played every version--is a lot of fun. With most Civilization games, I am always looking ahead and rushing to the next major advance/era, but in C2C, I can savor each era and get into the time period.

I am more of a builder than a fighter. My favorite aspect of the game is building side: expanding borders, connecting things up with roads, acquiring resources, loading up cities with improvements, and working through the tech tree.

Believe it or now, C2C has also inspired me to make a career change. I am a mathematician by training, but I have decided to study artificial intelligence because I want to make the future eras happen (in real life, though for the future eras to be happen in C2C would be nice too).

I forgot to add, thank you C2C team for all your work. One of the less obvious factors that makes this game so awesome is that it is a labor of love.

I love the complexity and variety of options. I have been playing Civ since CivII and
C2C since version 13 and enjoy all the new things the mod team comes up with. I bought Civ 5 and Gods and Kings and played a few games but I spend more time by far on C2C. I played one game for 4 months and researched all techs through Space Creasing in the Future Era.

C2C is a good place to hone those skills. I'm sure Koshling could use some assistance and there's a lot to be learned from his smarts in that arena!

That's one of my favorite responses here so far pepper2000! Welcome to the forum!

C2C is the current up-to-date mod for civ 4.
Civ 4 is the most developed part of the Civilization-Series.

I met Civilization back in 1991 and was trapped into the (for the time) perfect gameplay.
( I already had some experience with Sid's addicitve games (Pirates!, Railroad Tycoon)).

And in addition C2C is one of the most active mods currently, so why shouldn't i play it?

If you'd like to give some ideas/suggestions, they are MOST welcome in that thread, also talk to Hydro, he is the main one arranging the historical aspect of C2C, and again Welcome and trying this great mod C2C!

I started playing because AND died (I've been a Civ 4 player since late 2009) and stayed to become a team member because the time was helpful and willing to let me learn.

i've found this i think thanks to Shenryyr and i fell in love with it due to the Frontier modding work you guys have done and every now and then you guys bring something that makes me Okay... i thought and heard that it was impossible that's also one of the reasons i have the SVN version installed i think since August last year

Keep up making my mouth fall open in amazement
