It is true that a lot of people have differences of opinion in here.
And sometimes when a member comes to Site Feedback and makes a thread expressing his/her opinion (and expecting any problems to be solved), nothing really gets done most of the time.
There should always be a poll when there are differences of thinking between members like that. Because in my opinion, majority rules here, and not the fact that some people have better ways of explaining things.

Some issues will get resolved better and much faster (like the radioactive thing...).

No no no, you're getting it wrong. TF rules here, not some 'majority'. :p

Though he takes in the view of the 'majority', under 'advice' fr the mods...

Edit: X-post.

Well, I KNOW TF is the ruler here (in fact, I didn't include it cuz I thought it'd be obvious :p ). But like you said, it is advice. And it is no lie that TF listens to people and makes changes.

Just making it clear. ;)

The majority isn't always right... And what constitutes a winning majority? Just the most popular option, over half the votes or more? Polls would just give a general guideline. Threads repeating themselves is a far clearer way of showing that an issue is important...

@XIII and Civrules: Wow, he does have us well trained, doesn't he?!

:)
And that is a good thing. Oh boy, when I look at some other forums out there, I am glad I’m a CFCer! :goodjob:

But you guys are making it look like it is wrong to vote and let TF decide what shall happen (but I know you don’t actually mean it). :)

And popular sometimes is right, isn’t it? :)

I’m not saying that this should be something hugely strict and that everyone should follow. Sure this is a flexible issue and there is always a way to solve it.

Sometimes but its probably only a very rare occurance...

I don’t wanna turn this into something political because if I do, this thread will be closed fairly soon. ;)

But look at it this way, if there is some huge disappointment among the people who are being beaten by the people that have more votes, it [whatever it may be] can stay the way it is.

Oh yeah, that would be an effective poll:

Should moderators delete the radioactive monkey option from polls?
1) Yes............................................401 votes.
2) No................................................2 votes.
3) Giant radioactive monkey...............398 votes.
4) Sexual harassment panda that boils eggs on it's shaved chest....1 vote.

This is exaggerated and the “poll” you created is a spammy one too (which I thought was the basis of removing the radioactive monkey thing).
But I can understand you.

Like I said, I’m not trying to make this a huge issue when everyone posts in a thread, but it is a general guideline.

And what you all are probably ignoring is that this idea could potentially be in your favor. You just don’t see it this way. ;)

You're suggesting we agree with you but just don't realize it? Weak... :shakehead :dubious:

This forum grew to be the special place it is because of His Excellency Thunderfall and his Knights and Knightesses in Shining Armor (although the Borg one keeps me awake at night sometimes). If you're suggesting regime change, then count me as the first volunteer for the coalition of the unwilling.

 @ the fact that some people voted "no"

1. Not at all, I was actually saying that it can be good for everyone, at different times.

2. The second part clearly shows that you don't get what I am saying.
What kind of a "regime change" will simply putting a poll in one's thread be? I really don't get your point.

You are forcefully making it seem I’m against Thunderfall. I don’t even get how you make the conclusion itself.

change my vote, i hit "no" instead of "yes" because usually polls have yes first
