Why is your country awesome?

It's a very pretty place. I do keep saying I want to leave, but whenever I'm on the train on my way through the country I am reminded why I love it so :)

We have Perfection.

on my way to my brothers wedding through Dumfries & Galloway, i wanted to jump out of the train and *hug* the scenery! it's a constant puzzle, i've seen more of other countries than i have my own

Because Eastern Canada has some wicked cultural sites, as well as the biggest party provinces this side of the Roman Empire.

Western Canada offers ridiculously beautiful outdoor environments, from winter skiing to summer Camping, Rain Forest, and a valley hot enough to rival what you can get in Mexico.

Not a single one of you has made me want to be a tourist to your country. storealex at least made an attempt.

You can buy alcohol at 19 AND buy codeine without a prescription.

If you don't see some of the natural scenery now, you might not get a chance...

That's not good enough.

1. I can buy alcohol at 18 in New Orleans. Or at least I used to be able to. I don't know if it changed.
2. I'm already way older than 19 for the low age limit to matter to me.
3. I hate alcohol.
4. I don't take codeine for any purpose.
Hehe, augery's remark was a joke.

I live in the States, but I prefer other places. America USED to be the land of opportunity and diversity, but now it's the land of ignorance and hatred. I wish we'd find some way to dig deep into our roots and find our place in the world. I'm sure we, like every other country on Earth, can be a great one, but it certainly isn't right now.

I prefer Japan, since I lived there once (for a year). The island is so small, but it feels giant.

It's 18 in Alberta & Quebec.

I never figured how a extra year makes people so much more mature.

I think places that have it over 18 just want it to be for people who are over high school age. At 18, most high school seniors can get booze before they graduate.

1. Because everybody tries to hate on us while simultaneously grabbing and emulating every bit of our culture that they can get their hands on.

2. Because CFC is based here.

Spoiler :

Everything I've said in this is totally not serious.

Well, what exactly are you looking for in a trip? If you want Culture, goto Europe. If you want extreme sports, I've heard New Zealand is good. If you want a **** load of space, come to Canada. If you want crazy animals, goto Africa.

Manitoba too!

It doesn't work well here, Quebec being within walking distance. Not that LCBOs ID anyone anyway ;)

Because this tiny little place is my home, the same reason everyone thinks there country is awesome, because they live there.

1. Because everybody tries to hate on us

With Bush in power, we don't try very hard.

while simultaneously grabbing and emulating every bit of our culture that they can get their hands on.

Er no actually, sadly the only culture we emulate here makes me feel nauseous, ie gun culture, crappy rap culture that is stupid for this country. Everything else we export and import equally pretty much.

2. Because CFC is based here.

confusingly odd thing to say? So what?

Of all the things you could have said that made your country greater than x, you managed to whole sale miss all of them with that.

Tell me Fifty does your entire life revolve around cultural influences, image and so on? Because I Think there's a hell of a lot more going for the US than just it's culture which let's face it is a very young one anyway? Anything less shallow you admire?

That mark wasn't that great. :p And AFL is getting much lamer due to the new rules.

But you should still come to Australia, because it has awesome weather.

I agree on both issues. Basically in Perth there is not much to do, except outdoor activities since the Government is not making this town a vibrant place to live in. Also we have very not women here.
