-They removed zombies.
-They removed survival horror and replaced with action. Capcom even went so far as to put something along the lines of this on the back of the RE4 box: "forget about survival horror, this is survival action"
-They enemies are mind-controlled Africans and Spaniards.
-They replaced fixed camera angles with over-the-shoulder camera angles, which sucks.
-There is a lot of ammo.
-You have a partner who is with you the entire game watching your back (RE5 only).
-The storyline has been completely butchered.
-There are no longer any sub-plots.
-The choices you make no longer affect what happens in the story.
-You can no longer choose between one of two characters, each with their own different plots.
-There isn't a theme of mystery that goes along with the games, where you slowly discover what happened where you're at in the game.
-The controls of RE4 and RE5 are absolutely terrible when compared to the amazing controls of the early games.
