Why would they use old software?

I did some searching through the .dll and they are using compression software over a year old with 2 new version of the software that came out sence then. looking for the uncompresstion now though.

I would assume it would be due to them not wanting to switch tools midstream which makes a lot of sense from a project management perspective.
